GIVE WITHOUT CHARGE

Image
Jesus instructed the Twelve as follows: 'As you go, proclaim that the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.  Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out devils.  by Debbie Jackson You received without charge, give without charge. Provide yourselves with no gold or silver, nor even with a few coppers for your purses, with no haversack for the journey or space tunic or footwear or a staff, for the workman deserves his keep. 'Whatever town or village you go into, ask for someone trustworthy and stay with him until you leave.  As you enter his house, salut it, and if the house deserves it, let your peace descend upon it; if it does not, let your peace come back to you. And if anyone does not welcome you or listen to what you have to say, as you walk out of the house or town shake the dust from your feet.  I tell you solemnly, on the day of Judgement it will not go as hard with the land of Sodom and Gomorrah as with that town.'  Mass Readings Lord than

THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

Jesus summoned his Twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits to drive them out and cure every disease and every illness. The names of the Twelve Apostles are these: first, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John; Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas as Matthew the tax collector; James, the son Alphaeus, and Thaddeus; Simon the Cananean, and Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus. They sow the wind, they will reap the whirlwind; their wheat will yield no ear, the ear will yield no flour, or, if it does, foreigners will swallow it. Mass Readings Ephraim has built altar after altar, they have only served him as occasion for sin.  Were I to write out the thousand precepts of my Law for him, they would be paid no more attention than those of a stranger. They love sacrificing; right, let them sacrifice! The love meat; right, let them eat it! The Lord takes no pleasure in these. He is now going to remember their iniquity and punish their sins; they will have to go back to Egypt.  Heavenly Father, have mercy on me. Do not be angry, forgive me for not trusting your love for me. Relent, do to punish me for my sins. Going back to Egypt is slavery, deliver me.  Guide me on my journey toward eternity.  Jesus Christ my Lord come to my help. H.G. THE LORD SPEAKS

Image
It is the Lord who speaks: I am going to lure her and lead her out into the wilderness and speak to her heart.  I am going to give her back her vineyards, and make the valley of Achor a gateway of hope. There she will respond to me as she did when she was young, as she did when she came out of the Land of Egypt.  When that day comes: It is the Lord who speaks - she will call me, "My husband" no longer will she call me Baal." I will betroth you to myself for ever, betroth you with integrity and justice, with tenderness and love; I will betroth you to myself with faithfulness, and you will come to know the Lord. Mass Readings Lord Jesus Christ, you are the word made flesh, speak your word and I shall be healed. But when the people had been turned out he went inside and took the little girl by hand; and she stood up. And the news spread all round t
