Reading Zechariah 2:5-9,14-15  'I will be the glory of Jerusalem'

Raising my eyes, I saw a vision. It was this: there was a man with a measuring line in his hand. I asked him, ‘Where are you going?’ He said, ‘To measure Jerusalem, to find out her breadth and her length.’ And then, while the angel who was talking to me stood still, another angel came forward to meet him. He said to him, ‘Run, and tell that young man this, “Jerusalem is to remain unwalled, because of the great number of men and cattle there will be in her. But I – it is the Lord who speaks – I will be a wall of fire for her all round her, and I will be her glory in the midst of her.”

’ Sing, rejoice, daughter of Zion; for I am coming to dwell in the middle of you – it is the Lord who speaks. Many nations will join the Lord, on that day; they will become his people.

Gospel Luke 9:43-45 They were afraid to ask him what he meant

CDR: At a time when everyone was full of admiration for all he did, Jesus said to his disciples, ‘For your part, you must have these words constantly in your mind: “The Son of Man is going to be handed over into the power of men.”’ But they did not understand him when he said this; it was hidden from them so that they should not see the meaning of it, and they were afraid to ask him about what he had just said.

Lecture Daniel Dn 7, 9-10.13-14 « Des millions d’êtres le servaient »

La nuit, au cours d’une vision,  moi, Daniel, je regardais :  des trônes furent disposés, et un Vieillard prit place ; son habit était blanc comme la neige, et les cheveux de sa tête, comme de la laine immaculée ; son trône était fait de flammes de feu, avec des roues de feu ardent.  Un fleuve de feu coulait, qui jaillissait devant lui. Des milliers de milliers le servaient, des myriades de myriades se tenaient devant lui. Le tribunal prit place et l’on ouvrit des livres.  Je regardais, au cours des visions de la nuit, et je voyais venir, avec les nuées du ciel, comme un Fils d’homme ; il parvint jusqu’au Vieillard, et on le fit avancer devant lui.  Et il lui fut donné domination, gloire et royauté ; tous les peuples, toutes les nations et les gens de toutes langues le servirent. Sa domination est une domination éternelle, qui ne passera pas, et sa royauté, une royauté qui ne sera pas détruite.

Évangile  Jean 1, 47-51 

« Vous verrez les anges de Dieu monter et descendre au-dessus du Fils de l’homme »

RC: En ce temps-là,  lorsque Jésus vit Nathanaël venir à lui, il déclara à son sujet : « Voici vraiment un Israélite : il n’y a pas de ruse en lui. »  Nathanaël lui demande : « D’où me connais-tu ? » Jésus lui répond : « Avant que Philippe t’appelle, quand tu étais sous le figuier, je t’ai vu. » Nathanaël lui dit : « Rabbi, c’est toi le Fils de Dieu ! C’est toi le roi d’Israël ! »  Jésus reprend : « Je te dis que je t’ai vu sous le figuier, et c’est pour cela que tu crois ! Tu verras des choses plus grandes encore. » Et il ajoute : « Amen, amen, je vous le dis : vous verrez le ciel ouvert, et les anges de Dieu monter et descendre au-dessus du Fils de l’homme. »

Je te remercie, Seigneur, de tout mon cœur : tu as entendu les paroles de ma bouche. En présence des anges, je vous bénirai. J’adorerai devant ton saint temple. Je vous remercie pour votre fidélité et votre amour, qui surpassent tout ce que ne nous avons jamais connu de vous. Le jour où j’ai appelé, vous avez répondu ; Tu as augmenté la force de mon âme. Tous les rois de la terre vous remercieront quand ils entendront les paroles de votre bouche. Ils chanteront les voies du eigneur : « Comme la gloire du Seigneur est grande ! » En présence des anges, je te bénirai, ô Seigneur.

Seigneur Jésus, j’ai confiance en toi. Votre règne est éternel. La Vierge Marie prie pour moi. Saint Joseph prie pour moi. Michael, Gabriel et Raphaël Arch Angels prient pour moi. Mon Ange Gardien prie pour moi.

As I watched: Thrones were set in place and one of great age took his seat. His robe was white as snow, the hair of his head as pure as wool. His throne was a blaze of flames; its wheels were a burning fire. A stream of fire poured out, issuing from his presence. A thousand thousand waited on him, ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. A court was held and the books were opened. I gazed into the visions of the night. And I saw, coming on the clouds of heaven, one like a son of man. He came to the one of great age and was led into his presence. On him was conferred sovereignty, glory and kingship, and men of all peoples, nations and languages became his servants. His sovereignty is an eternal sovereignty which shall never pass away, nor will his empire ever be destroyed.

When Jesus saw Nathanael coming he said of him, ‘There is an Israelite who deserves the name, incapable of deceit.’ ‘How do you know me?’ said Nathanael. ‘Before Philip came to call you,’ said Jesus ‘I saw you under the fig tree.’ Nathanael answered, ‘Rabbi, you are the Son of God, you are the King of Israel.’ Jesus replied, ‘You believe that just because I said: I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.’ And then he added ‘I tell you most solemnly, you will see heaven laid open and, above the Son of Man, the angels of God ascending and descending.

I thank you, Lord, with all my heart:   you have heard the words of my mouth. In the presence of the angels I will bless you. I will adore before your holy temple. I thank you for your faithfulness and love, which excel all we ever knew of you. On the day I called, you answered;  you increased the strength of my soul. All earth’s kings shall thank you   when they hear the words of your mouth. They shall sing of the Lord’s ways: ‘How great is the glory of the Lord!’ In the presence of the angels I will bless you, O Lord.

Le Seigneur aime son peuple 

Lecture du livre du prophète Aggée 1, 1-8   

« Rapportez du bois pour rebâtir la maison de Dieu. Je prendrai plaisir à y demeurer »

La deuxième année du règne de Darius, le premier jour du sixième mois, la parole du Seigneur fut adressée, par l’intermédiaire d’Aggée, le prophète, à Zorobabel fils de Salathiel, gouverneur de Juda, et à Josué fils de Josédeq, le grand prêtre : 

Ainsi parle le Seigneur de l’univers. Ces gens-là disent : « Le temps n’est pas encore venu de rebâtir la maison du Seigneur ! » Or, voilà ce que dit le Seigneur par l’intermédiaire d’Aggée, le prophète : Et pour vous, est-ce bien le temps d’être installés dans vos maisons luxueuses, alors que ma Maison est en ruine ? Et maintenant, ainsi parle le Seigneur de l’univers : Rendez votre cœur attentif à vos chemins : Vous avez semé beaucoup, mais récolté peu ; vous mangez, mais sans être rassasiés ; vous buvez, mais sans être désaltérés ; vous vous habillez, mais sans vous réchauffer ; et le salarié met son salaire dans une bourse trouée. Ainsi parle le Seigneur de l’univers : Rendez votre cœur attentif à vos chemins : Allez dans la montagne, rapportez du bois pour rebâtir la maison de Dieu. Je prendrai plaisir à y demeurer, et j’y serai glorifié – déclare le Seigneur.

« Jean, je l’ai fait décapiter. Mais qui est cet homme dont j’entends dire de telles choses ? »

RC: En ce temps-là, Hérode, qui était au pouvoir en Galilée, entendit parler de tout ce qui se passait et il ne savait que penser. En effet, certains disaient que Jean le Baptiste était ressuscité d’entre les morts. D’autres disaient : « C’est le prophète Élie qui est apparu. » D’autres encore : « C’est un prophète d’autrefois qui est ressuscité. » Quant à Hérode, il disait : « Jean, je l’ai fait décapiter. Mais qui est cet homme dont j’entends dire de telles choses ? » Et il cherchait à le voir.

« Le Seigneur prend plaisir à son peuple ». Mon âme aspire à toi mon Dieu. Comme ta demeure est belle, Seigneur. Père, aujourd’hui je te consacre mon temps, mon talent et mon trésor. Je te les offre au service de ton Saint Temple, et au service de l’humanité. Père tous les bons dons viennent de toi, et à toi aussi l’origine de la bonté. Que mon Père bénisse le travail de mes mains afin qu’en semant, il y ait une récolte abondante. Nourris-moi Père pour que je sois satisfait. Rassasie ma soif et couvre-moi de ta pavillon d’amour. Père bloque tous les trous de fuites dans mes finances. Toute gloire à toi Père. 

Seigneur Jésus, j’ai hâte de te voir. Seigneur, tu es le chemin, la vérité et la vie. Jésus, j’ai confiance en toi. Sois avec moi Seigneur. La Bienheureuse Vierge Marie prie pour moi. Saint Joseph prie pour moi. Les anges et les saints de Dieu prient pour moi. Mon Ange Gardien prie pour moi.

Reading Haggi :1-8 'Rebuild the House'

In the second year of King Darius, on the first day of the sixth month, the word of the Lord was addressed through the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, high commissioner of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, as follows, ‘The Lord of Hosts says this, “This people says: The time has not yet come to rebuild the Temple of the Lord. (And the word of the Lord was addressed through the prophet Haggai, as follows:) Is this a time for you to live in your panelled houses, when this House lies in ruins? So now, the Lord of Hosts says this: Reflect carefully how things have gone for you. You have sown much and harvested little; you eat but never have enough, drink but never have your fill, put on clothes but do not feel warm. The wage earner gets his wages only to put them in a purse riddled with holes. So go to the hill country, fetch wood, and rebuild the House: I shall then take pleasure in it, and be glorified there, says the Lord.”’

RC: Herod the tetrarch had heard about all that was being done by Jesus; and he was puzzled, because some people were saying that John had risen from the dead, others that Elijah had reappeared, still others that one of the ancient prophets had come back to life. But Herod said, ‘John? I beheaded him. So who is this I hear such reports about?’ And he was anxious to see Jesus.

'The Lord takes delight in his people'. My soul is yearning for you my God. How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord of Host. Father I bring before you today my time, my talent and my treasure. I offer them to you in service to your Holy Temple and in service to humanity. Father all good gifts comes from you, the origin of goodness. Father bless the work of my hands that as I sow, there will be abundant harvest. Feed me Father that I be satisfied. Quench my thirst and cover me with your banner of love. Father block every holes of leakages in my finance. All glory to you Father.

Lecture Esdras 9, 5-9 « Dans la servitude, notre Dieu ne nous a pas abandonnés »

Moi, Esdras, à l’heure de l’offrande du soir, je me relevai de ma prostration ; le vêtement et le manteau déchirés, je tombai à genoux ; les mains tendues vers le Seigneur mon Dieu, je dis :

« Mon Dieu, j’ai trop de honte et de confusion pour lever mon visage vers toi, mon Dieu. Nos fautes sans nombre nous submergent, nos offenses se sont amoncelées jusqu’au ciel. Depuis les jours de nos pères et aujourd’hui encore, grande est notre offense : c’est à cause de nos fautes que nous avons été livrés, nous, nos rois et nos prêtres, aux mains des rois étrangers, à l’épée, à la captivité, au pillage et à la honte, qui nous accablent encore aujourd’hui. Or, voici que depuis peu de temps la pitié du Seigneur notre Dieu a laissé subsister pour nous des rescapés et nous a permis de nous fixer en son lieu saint ; ainsi, notre Dieu a fait briller nos yeux, il nous a rendu un peu de vie dans notre servitude. Car nous sommes asservis ; mais, dans cette servitude, notre Dieu ne nous a pas abandonnés : il nous a concilié la faveur des rois de Perse, il nous a rendu la vie, pour que nous puissions restaurer la maison de notre Dieu et relever ses ruines, afin d’avoir un abri solide en Juda et à Jérusalem. »

RC: En ce temps-là, Jésus rassembla les Douze ; il leur donna pouvoir et autorité sur tous les démons, et de même pour faire des guérisons ; il les envoya proclamer le règne de Dieu et guérir les malades. Il leur dit : « Ne prenez rien pour la route, ni bâton, ni sac, ni pain, ni argent ; n’ayez pas chacun une tunique de rechange. Quand vous serez reçus dans une maison, restez-y ; c’est de là que vous repartirez. Et si les gens ne vous accueillent pas, sortez de la ville et secouez la poussière de vos pieds : ce sera un témoignage contre eux. »

Ils partirent et ils allaient de village en village, annonçant la Bonne Nouvelle et faisant partout des guérisons.

Béni soit Dieu, qui vit éternellement. « Mon Dieu, j’ai honte, je rougis de lever mon visage vers toi, mon Dieu. Car nos crimes ont augmenté, jusqu’à ce qu’ils soient plus élevés que nos têtes, et notre péché s’est accumulé jusqu’au ciel. Depuis l’époque de nos ancêtres jusqu’à maintenant, notre culpabilité a été grande. » Père compatissant soit miséricordieux envers nous, ton peuple. Ramène-nous à toi. Ne nous oubliez pas car nous sommes tes enfants.

'Take nothing for the journey'

Reading Ezra 9:5-9 'God has not forgotten us in our slavery'

At the evening sacrifice I, Ezra, came out of my stupor and falling on my knees, with my garment and cloak torn, I stretched out my hands to the Lord my God, and said: 

‘My God, I am ashamed, I blush to lift my face to you, my God. For our crimes have increased, until they are higher than our heads, and our sin has piled up to heaven. From the days of our ancestors until now our guilt has been great; on account of our crimes we, our kings and our priests, were given into the power of the kings of other countries, given to the sword, to captivity, to pillage and to shame, as is the case today. But now, suddenly, the Lord our God by his favour has left us a remnant and granted us a refuge in his holy place; this is how our God has cheered our eyes and given us a little respite in our slavery. For we are slaves; but God has not forgotten us in our slavery; he has shown us kindness in the eyes of the kings of Persia, obtaining permission for us to rebuild the Temple of our God and restore its ruins, and he has found us safety and shelter in Judah and in Jerusalem.’

CDR: Jesus called the Twelve together and gave them power and authority over all devils and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. He said to them, ‘Take nothing for the journey: neither staff, nor haversack, nor bread, nor money; and let none of you take a spare tunic. Whatever house you enter, stay there; and when you leave, let it be from there. As for those who do not welcome you, when you leave their town shake the dust from your feet as a sign to them.’ So they set out and went from village to village proclaiming the Good News and healing everywhere.

Blessed be God, who lives for ever. ‘My God, I am ashamed, I blush to lift my face to you, my God. For our crimes have increased, until they are higher than our heads, and our sin has piled up to heaven. From the days of our ancestors until now our guilt has been great.' Compassionate Father be merciful to us your people. Bring us back to you. Do not forget us for we are your children.

LA RECONSTRUCTION DU TEMPLE DE DIEU

MARDI 25E SEMAINE DU TEMPS ORDINAIRE:  PEE

Dans la joie, nous irons à la maison du Seigneur

Lecture du livre d’Esdras 6, 7-8.12b.14-20

« Ils achevèrent la construction de la maison de Dieu et les rapatriés célébrèrent la Pâque »

En ces jours-là, le roi de Perse, Darius, écrivit aux autorités de la province située à l’ouest de l’Euphrate : « Laissez le gouverneur de Juda et les anciens des Juifs travailler à cette maison de Dieu : ils doivent la rebâtir sur son emplacement. Voici mes ordres concernant votre ligne de conduite envers les anciens des Juifs pour la reconstruction de cette maison de Dieu : les dépenses de ces gens leur seront remboursées, exactement et sans interruption, sur les fonds royaux, c’est-à-dire sur l’impôt de la province. Moi, Darius, j’ai donné cet ordre. Qu’il soit strictement exécuté ! »

Les anciens des Juifs continuèrent avec succès les travaux de construction, encouragés par la parole des prophètes Aggée et Zacharie le fils d’Iddo. Ils achevèrent la construction conformément à l’ordre du Dieu d’Israël, selon les décrets de Cyrus et de Darius. La maison de Dieu fut achevée le troisième jour du mois nommé Adar, dans la sixième année du règne de Darius. Les fils d’Israël, les prêtres, les lévites et le reste des rapatriés célébrèrent dans la joie la dédicace de cette maison de Dieu. Ils immolèrent, pour cette dédicace, cent taureaux, deux cents béliers, quatre cents agneaux et, en sacrifice pour le péché de tout Israël, douze boucs, d’après le nombre des tribus d’Israël. Puis ils installèrent les prêtres selon leurs classes, et les lévites selon leurs groupes, pour le service de Dieu à Jérusalem, suivant les prescriptions du livre de Moïse. Les rapatriés célébrèrent la Pâque le quatorzième jour du premier mois. Tous les prêtres et tous les lévites, sans exception, s’étaient purifiés : tous étaient purs. Ils immolèrent donc la Pâque pour tous les rapatriés, pour leurs frères les prêtres, et pour eux-mêmes.

Évangile Luc 8, 19-21 

 « Ma mère et mes frères sont ceux qui écoutent la parole de Dieu, et qui la mettent en pratique »

RC: En ce temps-là, la mère et les frères de Jésus vinrent le trouver, mais ils ne pouvaient pas arriver jusqu’à lui à cause de la foule. On le lui fit savoir : « Ta mère et tes frères sont là dehors, qui veulent te voir. » Il leur répondit : « Ma mère et mes frères sont ceux qui écoutent la parole de Dieu, et qui la mettent en pratique. »

Je me suis réjoui quand je les ai entendus dire : « Allons chez Dieu. » Et maintenant, nos pieds se tiennent à l’intérieur de tes portes, ô Jérusalem.

Mon Dieu, comme ton demeure est belle. Père je t’adore. Fais-moi connaître ton chemin Seigneur. Ta loi est parfaite Père donne-moi un cœur pur, fais-moi obéir à ta loi. Le Saint-Esprit décharge la joie et le rafraîchissement à tous ceux qui se rassemblent dans le Saint Temple pour adorer Dieu. Liez-nous ensemble à tes saints. Comme nous célébrons dans l’adoration de ton Très Saint Nom, et en action de grâces à Jésus-Christ pour notre rédemption, uni nous. Que notre Amen résonne dans le monde entier.

Jésus, j’ai confiance en toi. Merci de nous avoir donné ta Sainte Mère, la Vierge Marie. Saint Joseph prie pour moi. Les anges et les saints de Dieu prient pour moi. Mon Ange Gardien me prie.

THE RECONSTRUCTION OF GOD' TEMPLE

TUESDAY WEEK 25 IN ORDINARY TIME: Universalis

I rejoiced when I heard them say: ‘Let us go to God’s house

Reading Ezra 6:7-8,12,14-20 

Darius king of Persia pays for the rebuilding of the Temple of God

King Darius wrote to the satrap of Transeuphrates and his colleagues: ‘Leave the high commissioner of Judah and the elders of the Jews to work on this Temple of God; they are to rebuild this Temple of God on its ancient site. This, I decree, is how you must assist the elders of the Jews in the reconstruction of this Temple of God: the expenses of these people are to be paid, promptly and without fail, from the royal revenue – that is, from the tribute of Trans-Euphrates. May the God who causes his name to live there overthrow any king or people who dares to defy this and destroy the Temple of God in Jerusalem! I, Darius, have issued this decree. Let it be obeyed to the letter!’ 

The elders of the Jews prospered with their building, inspired by Haggai the prophet and Zechariah son of Iddo. They finished the building in accordance with the order of the God of Israel and the order of Cyrus and of Darius. This Temple was finished on the twenty-third day of the month of Adar; it was the sixth year of the reign of King Darius. The Israelites – the priests, the Levites and the remainder of the exiles – joyfully dedicated this Temple of God; for the dedication of this Temple of God they offered one hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs and, as a sacrifice for sin for the whole of Israel, twelve he-goats, corresponding to the number of the tribes of Israel. Then they installed the priests according to their orders in the service of the Temple of God in Jerusalem, as is written in the Book of Moses. 

The exiles celebrated the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month. The Levites, as one man, had purified themselves; all were pure, so they sacrificed the passover for all the exiles, for their brothers the priests and for themselves.

CDR: The mother and the brothers of Jesus came looking for him, but they could not get to him because of the crowd. He was told, ‘Your mother and brothers are standing outside and want to see you.’ But he said in answer, ‘My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and put it into practice.’

I rejoiced when I heard them say: ‘Let us go to God’s house.’ And now our feet are standing within your gates, O Jerusalem.

My God how lovely is your dwelling place. Father I adore you. Make me know your way Lord. Your law is perfect Father give me a pure heart make me obey your law.  Holy Spirit release joy and refreshment to all who gather in worship in your Holy Temple. Bind us together to all your saints. As we celebrate in worship to your Most Holy Name, and in thanksgiving to Jesus Christ for our redemption, make us one in worship. Let our Amen, and Amen resound throughout the whole world.

Jesus I trust in you. Thank you for giving us your Blessed Mother, Virgin Mary. Saint Joseph pray for me. God’s Angels and Saints pray for me. My Guardian Angel pray me.

Quelles merveilles le Seigneur fit pour nous

Lecture du livre d’Esdras 1, 1-6  

« Quiconque fait partie du peuple du Seigneur, 

qu’il monte à Jérusalem, et qu’il bâtisse la maison du Seigneur »

La première année du règne de Cyrus, roi de Perse, pour que soit accomplie la parole du Seigneur proclamée par Jérémie, le Seigneur inspira Cyrus, roi de Perse. Et celui-ci fit publier dans tout son royaume – et même consigner par écrit – : « Ainsi parle Cyrus, roi de Perse : Le Seigneur, le Dieu du ciel, m’a donné tous les royaumes de la terre ; et il m’a chargé de lui bâtir une maison à Jérusalem, en Juda. Quiconque parmi vous fait partie de son peuple, que son Dieu soit avec lui, qu’il monte à Jérusalem, en Juda, et qu’il bâtisse la maison du Seigneur, le Dieu d’Israël, le Dieu qui est à Jérusalem. En tout lieu où résident ceux qui restent d’Israël, que la population leur vienne en aide : qu’on leur fournisse argent, or, dons en nature, bétail, qu’on y joigne des offrandes volontaires pour la maison de Dieu qui est à Jérusalem. » Alors les chefs de famille de Juda et de Benjamin, les prêtres et les lévites, bref, tous ceux à qui Dieu avait inspiré cette décision, se mirent en route et montèrent à Jérusalem pour bâtir la maison du Seigneur ; tous leurs voisins leur apportèrent de l’aide : argent, or, dons en nature, bétail, objets précieux en quantité, sans compter toutes sortes d’offrandes volontaires.

Évangile Luc 8, 16-18 

 « On met la lampe sur le lampadaire pour que ceux qui entrent voient la lumière »

RC: En ce temps-là, Jésus disait aux foules : 

« Personne, après avoir allumé une lampe, ne la couvre d’un vase ou ne la met sous le lit ; on la met sur le lampadaire pour que ceux qui entrent voient la lumière. Car rien n’est caché qui ne doive paraître au grand jour ; rien n’est secret qui ne doive être connu et venir au grand jour.  Faites attention à la manière dont vous écoutez. Car à celui qui a, on donnera ; et à celui qui n’a pas, même ce qu’il croit avoir sera enlevé. »

Mon Père, mon Dieu ouvre mes oreilles pour entendre tes paroles. Ouvrez mon cœur pour accepter vos paroles. Donne-moi l’Esprit de compréhension. Donnez-moi la sagesse et la connaissance. Père, quelles merveilles tu as fait pour moi. Je suis un témoignage de votre miséricorde, de votre compassion, de votre fidélité et de ton amour. Merci mon Dieu, et merci mon Père. 

Seigneur Jésus-Christ, j’ai confiance en toi. La Vierge Marie prie pour moi. Saint Joseph prie pour moi. Dieu et les saints prient pour moi. Mon Ange Gardien prie pour moi.

Priez le Saint Rosaire: Je vous salue la Sainte Reine. Je vous salue Marie pleine de grâce.

What marvels the Lord worked for us

Reading Ezra 1:1-6 Cyrus king of Persia frees the Jews to return to Jerusalem

In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, to fulfil the word of the Lord that was spoken through Jeremiah, the Lord roused the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia to issue a proclamation and to have it publicly displayed throughout his kingdom: ‘Thus speaks Cyrus king of Persia, “The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth; he has ordered me to build him a Temple in Jerusalem, in Judah. Whoever there is among you of all his people, may his God be with him! Let him go up to Jerusalem in Judah to build the Temple of the Lord, the God of Israel – he is the God who is in Jerusalem. And let each survivor, wherever he lives, be helped by the people of that place with silver and gold, with goods and cattle, as well as voluntary offerings for the Temple of God which is in Jerusalem.”’

Then the heads of families of Judah and of Benjamin, the priests and the Levites, in fact all whose spirit had been roused by God, prepared to go and rebuild the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem; and all their neighbours gave them every assistance with silver, gold, goods, cattle, quantities of costly gifts and with voluntary offerings of every kind.

Jesus said to the crowds: 

CDR ‘No one lights a lamp to cover it with a bowl or to put it under a bed. No, he puts it on a lamp-stand so that people may see the light when they come in. For nothing is hidden but it will be made clear, nothing secret but it will be known and brought to light. So take care how you hear; for anyone who has will be given more; from anyone who has not, even what he thinks he has will be taken away.’

My Father, my God open my ears to hear your words. Open my heart to accept your words. Give me Spirit of understanding. Give me wisdom and knowledge. Father what marvels you worked in my life. I am a living testimony of your mercy, your compassion, your faithfulness and love.  Thank you my God and my Father.

« Celui qui a des oreilles pour entendre, qu’il entende ! »

Lecture 1 Timothée 6, 13-16  « Garde le commandement, en demeurant sans tache, 

jusqu’à la Manifestation de notre Seigneur »

Bien-aimé, en présence de Dieu qui donne vie à tous les êtres, et en présence du Christ Jésus qui a témoigné devant Ponce Pilate par une belle affirmation, voici ce que je t’ordonne : garde le commandement du Seigneur, en demeurant sans tache, irréprochable jusqu’à la Manifestation de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ. Celui qui le fera paraître aux temps fixés, c’est Dieu, Souverain unique et bienheureux, Roi des rois et Seigneur des seigneurs ; lui seul possède l’immortalité, habite une lumière inaccessible ; aucun homme ne l’a jamais vu, et nul ne peut le voir. À lui, honneur et puissance éternelle. Amen.

Évangile Luc 8, 4-15 « Ce qui est tombé dans la bonne terre, 

ce sont les gens qui retiennent la Parole et portent du fruit par leur persévérance »

RC: En ce temps-là, comme une grande foule se rassemblait, et que de chaque ville on venait vers Jésus, il dit dans une parabole : « Le semeur sortit pour semer la semence, et comme il semait, il en tomba au bord du chemin. Les passants la piétinèrent, et les oiseaux du ciel mangèrent tout. Il en tomba aussi dans les pierres, elle poussa et elle sécha parce qu’elle n’avait pas d’humidité. Il en tomba aussi au milieu des ronces, et les ronces, en poussant avec elle, l’étouffèrent. Il en tomba enfin dans la bonne terre, elle poussa et elle donna du fruit au centuple. » Disant cela, il éleva la voix : « Celui qui a des oreilles pour entendre, qu’il entende ! »

Ses disciples lui demandaient ce que signifiait cette parabole. Il leur déclara : « À vous il est donné de connaître les mystères du royaume de Dieu, mais les autres n’ont que les paraboles. Ainsi, comme il est écrit : Ils regardent sans regarder, ils entendent sans comprendre.

Voici ce que signifie la parabole. La semence, c’est la parole de Dieu. Il y a ceux qui sont au bord du chemin : ceux-là ont entendu ; puis le diable survient et il enlève de leur cœur la Parole, pour les empêcher de croire et d’être sauvés. Il y a ceux qui sont dans les pierres : lorsqu’ils entendent, ils accueillent la Parole avec joie ; mais ils n’ont pas de racines, ils croient pour un moment et, au moment de l’épreuve, ils abandonnent. Ce qui est tombé dans les ronces, ce sont les gens qui ont entendu, mais qui sont étouffés, chemin faisant, par les soucis, la richesse et les plaisirs de la vie, et ne parviennent pas à maturité. Et ce qui est tombé dans la bonne terre, ce sont les gens qui ont entendu la Parole dans un cœur bon et généreux, qui la retiennent et portent du fruit par leur persévérance. »

Dieu mon Père tu es la source de toute vie. Fais-moi comprendre les enseignements de l’Église catholique, car c’est en elle que résident les mystères de ton Royaume. Le mystère de tous les mystères est que ton Fils Jésus-Christ est venu racheter tes créatures. Il est l’origine et la sagesse de tes mystères. Il est venu te révéler à l’humanité afin que nous puissions parvenir à la vraie connaissance de toi, Père de toute la création.

Celui qui a des oreilles pour entendre, qu’il entende dit mon Seigneur et Maître. Père ouvre mes oreilles pour entendre ton Fils Jésus-Christ. Puis-je obéir et suivre les commandements de mon Seigneur Jésus-Christ et être irréprochable jusqu’à son apparu et sa révélation par toi Père, le souverain béni et unique de tous. Toi, mon Dieu es le Roi des rois et le Seigneur des seigneurs. Toi seul Père est immortel. Ta maison est une lumière inaccessible, qu’aucun homme n’a vue et qu’aucun homme n’est capable de voir. À toi, Père, l'honneur et puissance éternelle.

Seigneur Jésus-Christ, j’ai confiance en toi. Fais-moi obéir à tes ordres. Tu es mon rédempteur. Bienheureuse Vierge Marie, prie pour moi, tu as écouté Dieu et obéi à Sa voix. Saint Joseph prie pour moi, tu as écouté et obéi au commandement de Dieu. Saint Pie de Pietrelcina prie pour moi. Les anges et les saints de Dieu prient pour moi. Mon Ange Gardien prie pour moi.

Priez le Saint Rosaire : Je vous salue Marie pleine de grâce. Je vous salue Mère du Christ mon Rédempteur.

Reading 1 Timothy 3:13-16

I put to you the duty of doing all that you have been told

Before God the source of all life and before Christ, who spoke up as a witness for the truth in front of Pontius Pilate, I put to you the duty of doing all that you have been told, with no faults or failures, until the Appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, who at the due time will be revealed by God, the blessed and only Ruler of all, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, who alone is immortal, whose home is in inaccessible light, whom no man has seen and no man is able to see: to him be honour and everlasting power. Amen.

Gospel Luke 8:4-15 The parable of the sower

CDR: With a large crowd gathering and people from every town finding their way to him, Jesus used this parable: 

‘A sower went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell on the edge of the path and was trampled on; and the birds of the air ate it up. Some seed fell on rock, and when it came up it withered away, having no moisture. Some seed fell amongst thorns and the thorns grew with it and choked it. And some seed fell into rich soil and grew and produced its crop a hundredfold.’ Saying this he cried, ‘Listen, anyone who has ears to hear!’ 

His disciples asked him what this parable might mean, and he said, ‘The mysteries of the kingdom of God are revealed to you; for the rest there are only parables, so that they may see but not perceive, listen but not understand.

‘This, then, is what the parable means: the seed is the word of God. Those on the edge of the path are people who have heard it, and then the devil comes and carries away the word from their hearts in case they should believe and be saved. Those on the rock are people who, when they first hear it, welcome the word with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of trial they give up. As for the part that fell into thorns, this is people who have heard, but as they go on their way they are choked by the worries and riches and pleasures of life and do not reach maturity. As for the part in the rich soil, this is people with a noble and generous heart who have heard the word and take it to themselves and yield a harvest through their perseverance.’

God my Father you are the source of all life. Make me understand the teachings of the Catholic Church for in it lies the mysteries of your Kingdom. The mystery of all mysteries is that your Son Jesus Christ came to redeem your creatures. He is the origin and wisdom of your mysteries.  He came to reveal you to humanity that we may come to the true knowledge of you Father of all creation. 

Listen, anyone who has ears to hear say my Lord and Master. Father open my ears to hear your Son Jesus Christ.  May I obey and follow my Lord Jesus Christ commands and be blameless until he appears, and is revealed by you Father, the blessed and only Ruler of all. You my God is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. You alone Father is immortal. Your home is in inaccessible light, whom no man has seen and no man is able to see. To you Father be honour and everlasting power. 

Lord Jesus Christ I trust in you. Make me obey your commands. You are my redeemer. Blessed Virgin Mary pray for  me, you listened to God and obeyed His voice. Saint Joseph pray for me, you listened and obeyed God's command. Saint Pius of Pietrelcina pray for me. God's Angels and Saints pray for me. My Angel Guardian pray for me.
