Lecture de la lettre aux Hébreux 12, 1-4 

« Courons avec endurance l’épreuve qui nous est proposée »

Frères, nous aussi, entourés de cette immense nuée de témoins, et débarrassés de tout ce qui nous alourdit – en particulier du péché qui nous entrave si bien –, courons avec endurance l’épreuve qui nous est proposée, les yeux fixés sur Jésus, qui est à l’origine et au terme de la foi. Renonçant à la joie qui lui était proposée, il a enduré la croix en méprisant la honte de ce supplice, et il siège à la droite du trône de Dieu. Méditez l’exemple de celui qui a enduré de la part des pécheurs une telle hostilité, et vous ne serez pas accablés par le découragement. Vous n’avez pas encore résisté jusqu’au sang dans votre lutte contre le péché. 

Refrain: Ils loueront le Seigneur, ceux qui le cherchent

Évangile Marc 5, 21-43  « Jeune fille, je te le dis, lève-toi ! » 

En ce temps-là, Jésus regagna en barque l’autre rive, et une grande foule s’assembla autour de lui. Il était au bord de la mer. Arrive un des chefs de synagogue, nommé Jaïre. Voyant Jésus, il tombe à ses pieds et le supplie instamment : « Ma fille, encore si jeune, est à la dernière extrémité. Viens lui imposer les mains pour qu’elle soit sauvée et qu’elle vive. » Jésus partit avec lui, et la foule qui le suivait était si nombreuse qu’elle l’écrasait. RC

Or, une femme, qui avait des pertes de sang depuis douze ans… –  elle avait beaucoup souffert du traitement de nombreux médecins, et elle avait dépensé tous ses biens sans avoir la moindre amélioration ; au contraire, son état avait plutôt empiré  –… cette femme donc, ayant appris ce qu’on disait de Jésus, vint par-derrière dans la foule et toucha son vêtement. Elle se disait en effet : « Si je parviens à toucher seulement son vêtement, je serai sauvée. » À l’instant, l’hémorragie s’arrêta, et elle ressentit dans son corps qu’elle était guérie de son mal. Aussitôt Jésus se rendit compte qu’une force était sortie de lui. Il se retourna dans la foule, et il demandait : « Qui a touché mes vêtements ? » Ses disciples lui répondirent : « Tu vois bien la foule qui t’écrase, et tu demandes : “Qui m’a touché ?” » Mais lui regardait tout autour pour voir celle qui avait fait cela. Alors la femme, saisie de crainte et toute tremblante, sachant ce qui lui était arrivé, vint se jeter à ses pieds et lui dit toute la vérité. Jésus lui dit alors : « Ma fille, ta foi t’a sauvée. Va en paix et sois guérie de ton mal. »..... 

Dieu mon Père céleste, tous ceux qui te cherchent te loueront. Ils témoigneront en chantant vos louanges. Puissions-nous débarrasser de tout ce qui nous entrave, en particulier du péché qui s’accroche si facilement. Aide-nous consistantes à l’épreuve que nous avons commencée. Puissions-nous ne jamais perdre de vue Jésus, il nous amène à la perfection toutes nos vraies actions dans la foi. Christ a enduré la croix et a pris sa place à la droite du trône de Dieu car il s’opposait aux pécheurs. 

Nous ne perdrons pas du courage car le Christ est notre souverain, il est notre Maître. Nous nous accrochons au Christ, en affermissant nos yeux sur Toi Seigneur. Nous croyons en toi Seigneur Jésus-Christ notre guérisseur, viens nous guérir de toutes les infirmités.

Reading Hebrew 12:1- 4 

We should keep running steadily in the race we have started

With so many witnesses in a great cloud on every side of us, we too, then, should throw off everything that hinders us, especially the sin that clings so easily, and keep running steadily in the race we have started. Let us not lose sight of Jesus, who leads us in our faith and brings it to perfection: for the sake of the joy which was still in the future, he endured the cross, disregarding the shamefulness of it, and from now on has taken his place at the right of God’s throne. Think of the way he stood such opposition from sinners and then you will not give up for want of courage. In the fight against sin, you have not yet had to keep fighting to the point of death.

Gospel Mark 5:21-43 Little girl, I tell you to get up

When Jesus had crossed in the boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered round him and he stayed by the lakeside. Then one of the synagogue officials came up, Jairus by name, and seeing him, fell at his feet and pleaded with him earnestly, saying, ‘My little daughter is desperately sick. Do come and lay your hands on her to make her better and save her life.’ Jesus went with him and a large crowd followed him; they were pressing all round him.  CDR

Now there was a woman who had suffered from a haemorrhage for twelve years; after long and painful treatment under various doctors, she spent all she had without being any the better for it, in fact, she was getting worse. She had heard about Jesus, and she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his cloak. ‘If I can touch even his clothes,’ she had told herself ‘I shall be well again.’ And the source of the bleeding dried up instantly, and she felt in herself that she was cured of her complaint. Immediately aware that power had gone out from him, Jesus turned round in the crowd and said, ‘Who touched my clothes?’ His disciples said to him, ‘You see how the crowd is pressing round you and yet you say, “Who touched me?”’ But he continued to look all round to see who had done it. Then the woman came forward, frightened and trembling because she knew what had happened to her, and she fell at his feet and told him the whole truth. ‘My daughter,’ he said ‘your faith has restored you to health; go in peace and be free from your complaint.’.....

God my Father in heaven, all who seek you shall praise you. They will bear witnesses in singing your praise. May we throw off everything that hinders us, especially the sin that clings so easily. Help us to be steadfast in the race we have started. May we never  lose sight of Jesus, who brings to perfection all our true actions in faith. Christ endured the cross, and has taken his place at the right of God’s throne. He stood opposition from sinners.

We will not give up for want of courage for Christ is our teacher, he is our Master. We hold on to Christ, our eyes are on you Lord. We believe in you Lord Jesus Christ our healer, come heal us from all infirmities.

« Esprit impur, sors de cet homme ! »

Lecture de la lettre aux Hébreux 11, 32-40 

« Par leur foi, ils ont conquis des royaumes. Pour nous Dieu avait prévu mieux encore »

Frères, sur la puissance de la foi, que dire encore ? Le temps me manquerait pour rappeler l’histoire de Gédéon, Baraq, Samson, Jephté, David, Samuel et les prophètes. Par leur foi, ils ont conquis des royaumes, pratiqué la justice, obtenu la réalisation de certaines promesses. Ils ont fermé la gueule des lions, éteint la flamme des brasiers, échappé au tranchant de l’épée, retrouvé leurs forces après la maladie, montré du courage à la guerre, mis en fuite des armées étrangères. 

Des femmes dont les enfants étaient morts les ont retrouvés ressuscités. Mais certains autres ont été torturés et n’ont pas accepté la libération qui leur était proposée, car ils voulaient obtenir une meilleure résurrection. D’autres ont subi l’épreuve des moqueries et des coups de fouet, des chaînes et de la prison. Ils furent lapidés, sciés en deux, massacrés à coups d’épée. Ils allèrent çà et là, vêtus de peaux de moutons ou de toisons de chèvres, manquant de tout, harcelés et maltraités – mais en fait, c’est le monde qui n’était pas digne d’eux ! Ils menaient une vie errante dans les déserts et les montagnes, dans les grottes et les cavernes de la terre. Et, bien que, par leur foi, ils aient tous reçu le témoignage de Dieu, ils n’ont pas obtenu la réalisation de la promesse. En effet, pour nous Dieu avait prévu mieux encore, et il ne voulait pas les mener sans nous à la perfection.

Refrain: Soyez forts, prenez courage, vous tous qui espérez le Seigneur !

Évangile Marc 5, 1-20  « Esprit impur, sors de cet homme ! »

En ce temps-là, Jésus et ses disciples arrivèrent sur l’autre rive, de l’autre côté de la mer de Galilée, dans le pays des Géraséniens. Comme Jésus sortait de la barque, aussitôt un homme possédé d’un esprit impur s’avança depuis les tombes à sa rencontre ; il habitait dans les tombeaux et personne ne pouvait plus l’attacher, même avec une chaîne ; en effet on l’avait souvent attaché avec des fers aux pieds et des chaînes, mais il avait rompu les chaînes, brisé les fers, et personne ne pouvait le maîtriser. Sans arrêt, nuit et jour, il était parmi les tombeaux et sur les collines, à crier, et à se blesser avec des pierres. Voyant Jésus de loin, il accourut, se prosterna devant lui et cria d’une voix forte : « Que me veux-tu, Jésus, Fils du Dieu Très-Haut ? Je t’adjure par Dieu, ne me tourmente pas ! » Jésus lui disait en effet : « Esprit impur, sors de cet homme ! » Et il lui demandait : « Quel est ton nom ? » L’homme lui dit : « Mon nom est Légion, car nous sommes beaucoup. » Et ils suppliaient Jésus avec insistance de ne pas les chasser en dehors du pays……. RC

Comme tes bienfaits Seigneur sont grands.  Tu les réserves à ceux qui te craignent. Tu combles à la face du monde, ceux qui vous aiment.  Père, tu les caches loin des intrigues des hommes, à l’abri des langues qui se disputent.

 

Béni soit le Seigneur qui m’a montré les merveilles de son amour.  Dans mon trouble dis-je « Je suis loin de tes yeux ». Vous avez entendu la voix de mon appel quand je criais ver toi. Aimez le Seigneur, vous ses saints. Il garde ses fidèles, mais rendra pleinement ceux qui agissent avec orgueil. 

Psaume 30, 20-24

Garde-nous pars ton amour Dieu notre Père, protège-nous de nos ennemis. Délivre-nous de toute forme de la possession démoniaque ou satanique. Remplis-nous de ton Esprit Saint, car nous sommes tes enfants.

Priez le Saint Rosaire. Je vous salue Marie. Mère Bénie de notre Seigneur et Sauveur, priez pour nous. Amenez-nous à votre Fils Jésus-Christ.

‘Come out of the man, unclean spirit.’

Reading Hebrew 11:32-40 The example of the Old Testament saints

Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets – these were men who through faith conquered kingdoms, did what is right and earned the promises. They could keep a lion’s mouth shut, put out blazing fires and emerge unscathed from battle. They were weak people who were given strength, to be brave in war and drive back foreign invaders. 

Some came back to their wives from the dead, by resurrection; and others submitted to torture, refusing release so that they would rise again to a better life. Some had to bear being pilloried and flogged, or even chained up in prison. They were stoned, or sawn in half, or beheaded; they were homeless, and dressed in the skins of sheep and goats; they were penniless and were given nothing but ill-treatment. They were too good for the world and they went out to live in deserts and mountains and in caves and ravines. These are all heroes of faith, but they did not receive what was promised, since God had made provision for us to have something better, and they were not to reach perfection except with us.

Gospel Mark 5:1-20  The Gadarene swine

Jesus and his disciples reached the country of the Gerasenes on the other side of the lake, and no sooner had Jesus left the boat than a man with an unclean spirit came out from the tombs towards him. The man lived in the tombs and no one could secure him any more, even with a chain; because he had often been secured with fetters and chains but had snapped the chains and broken the fetters, and no one had the strength to control him. All night and all day, among the tombs and in the mountains, he would howl and gash himself with stones. Catching sight of Jesus from a distance, he ran up and fell at his feet and shouted at the top of his voice, ‘What do you want with me, Jesus, son of the Most High God? Swear by God you will not torture me!’ – for Jesus had been saying to him, ‘Come out of the man, unclean spirit.’ ‘What is your name?’ Jesus asked. ‘My name is legion,’ he answered ‘for there are many of us.’ And he begged him earnestly not to send them out of the district....... How great is your goodness Lord, that you keep for those who fear you, that you show to those who trust you in the sight of men. Father you hide them in the shelter of your presence   from the plotting of men; you keep them safe from disputing tongues. Blessed be the Lord who has shown me   the wonders of his love.  ‘I am far removed from your sight’ I said in my alarm. You heard the voice of my plea when I cried for help. Love the Lord, all you saint. He guards his faithful but the Lord will repay to the full  those who act with pride. Psalm 30: 20-24

Keep us save in your love God our Father, protect us from our enemies. Deliver us from every form of demonic or satanic possession. Fill us with your Holy Spirit for we are your children.

Celui qui veut être fier, qu’il mette sa fierté dans le Seigneur.

Lecture du livre du prophète Sophonie 2, 3 ; 3, 12-13  

« Je laisserai chez toi un peuple pauvre et petit »

Cherchez le Seigneur, vous tous, les humbles du pays, qui accomplissez sa loi. Cherchez la justice, cherchez l’humilité : peut-être serez-vous à l’abri au jour de la colère du Seigneur.

Je laisserai chez toi un peuple pauvre et petit ; il prendra pour abri le nom du Seigneur. Ce reste d’Israël ne commettra plus d’injustice ; ils ne diront plus de mensonge ; dans leur bouche, plus de langage trompeur. Mais ils pourront paître et se reposer, nul ne viendra les effrayer.

Refrain: Heureux les pauvres de cœur, car le royaume des Cieux est à eux !

Seconde lecture de la première lettre de saint Paul apôtre aux Corinthiens 1, 26-31

« Ce qu’il y a de faible dans le monde, voilà ce que Dieu a choisi »

Frères, vous qui avez été appelés par Dieu, regardez bien : parmi vous, il n’y a pas beaucoup de sages aux yeux des hommes, ni de gens puissants ou de haute naissance. Au contraire, ce qu’il y a de fou dans le monde, voilà ce que Dieu a choisi, pour couvrir de confusion les sages ; ce qu’il y a de faible dans le monde, voilà ce que Dieu a choisi, pour couvrir de confusion ce qui est fort ; ce qui est d’origine modeste, méprisé dans le monde, ce qui n’est pas, voilà ce que Dieu a choisi, pour réduire à rien ce qui est ; ainsi aucun être de chair ne pourra s’enorgueillir devant Dieu. C’est grâce à Dieu, en effet, que vous êtes dans le Christ Jésus, lui qui est devenu pour nous sagesse venant de Dieu, justice, sanctification, rédemption. Ainsi, comme il est écrit : Celui qui veut être fier, qu’il mette sa fierté dans le Seigneur.

 

Évangile Matthieu 5, 1-12a « Heureux les pauvres de cœur »

En ce temps-là, voyant les foules, Jésus gravit la montagne. RC

Il s’assit, et ses disciples s’approchèrent de lui. Alors, ouvrant la bouche, il les enseignait. Il disait : « Heureux les pauvres de cœur, car le royaume des Cieux est à eux. 

Heureux ceux qui pleurent, car ils seront consolés. 

Heureux les doux, car ils recevront la terre en héritage. 

Heureux ceux qui ont faim et soif de la justice, car ils seront rassasiés. 

Heureux les miséricordieux, car ils obtiendront miséricorde. 

Heureux les cœurs purs, car ils verront Dieu.

Heureux les artisans de paix, car ils seront appelés fils de Dieu.

Heureux ceux qui sont persécutés pour la justice, car le royaume des Cieux est à eux. 

Heureux êtes-vous si l’on vous insulte, si l’on vous persécute et si l’on dit faussement toute sorte de mal contre vous, à cause de moi. Réjouissez-vous, soyez dans l’allégresse, car votre récompense est grande dans les cieux !  

Mon Père, c’est toi que je cherche. Mon âme aspire à toi. Je viens devant vous us en plaidant pour un cœur humble. Donne-moi ton Saint-Esprit et la grâce d’obéir tes commandements. Père mon âme aspire à l’intégrité et à l’humilité. Transformez-moi.

 

Mon Dieu, tu es bon et plein de compassion, je demande la sagesse. Ton don de sagesse sera ma couronne de gloire. Votre sagesse guidera mon action. Avec toi comme guide pour diriger toutes mes actions, la paix et le bonheur que je préciosité seront ma victoire car je ne suis rien devant toi, mais ton amour me rend grand. Je n’ai rien à me vanter que vous. Je vous donne toute la gloire en vous acclamant fièrement mon Seigneur et mon Dieu. Tu es ma gloire. Merci Seigneur Jésus-Christ mon Rédempteur.

If anyone wants to boast, let him boast about the Lord

First Reading Zephaniah 2:3,3:12-13 In your midst I will leave a humble and lowly people

Seek the Lord, all you, the humble of the earth, who obey his commands. Seek integrity, seek humility: you may perhaps find shelter on the day of the anger of the Lord. 

 

In your midst I will leave a humble and lowly people, and those who are left in Israel will seek refuge the name of the Lord. They will do no wrong, will tell no lies; and the perjured tongue will no longer be found in their mouths. But they will be able to graze and rest with no one to disturb them.

Second Reading 1 Corinthians 1:26-31

God chose what is foolish by human reckoning, to shame the wise

Take yourselves for instance, brothers, at the time when you were called: how many of you were wise in the ordinary sense of the word, how many were influential people, or came from noble families? No, it was to shame the wise that God chose what is foolish by human reckoning, and to shame what is strong that he chose what is weak by human reckoning; those whom the world thinks common and contemptible are the ones that God has chosen – those who are nothing at all to show up those who are everything. The human race has nothing to boast about to God, but you, God has made members of Christ Jesus and by God’s doing he has become our wisdom, and our virtue, and our holiness, and our freedom. As scripture says: if anyone wants to boast, let him boast about the Lord.

Gospel Matthew 5:1-12aHow happy are the poor in spirit

Seeing the crowds, Jesus went up the hill. There he sat down and was joined by his disciples.

 

Then he began to speak. This is what he taught them: CDR

‘How happy are the poor in spirit: theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Happy the gentle:   they shall have the earth for their heritage.

Happy those who mourn:  they shall be comforted.

Happy those who hunger and thirst for what is right:   they shall be satisfied.

Happy the merciful:   they shall have mercy shown them.

Happy the pure in heart:   they shall see God.

Happy the peacemakers:   they shall be called sons of God.

Happy those who are persecuted in the cause of right:  theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

 

‘Happy are you when people abuse you and persecute you and speak all kinds of calumny against you on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven.’

My Father it is you that I seek. My soul yearns for you. I come before you pleading for a  humble heart. Give me your Holy Spirit and the grace to obey your commands. Father my soul yearns for integrity, and humility. transform me. 

My God you are good and full of compassion, I ask for wisdom. Your gift of wisdom will be  my crown of glory. Your wisdom will guide my action. With you as my guide to direct all my actions, the peace and happiness I seek will be my victory for I am nothing before you, but your love makes me great. I have nothing to boast, than you.  I give you all the glory as I proudly acclaim you my Lord and my God. You are my glory. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ my Redeemer.

LA FOI EST UNE FAÇON DE POSSEDER CE QUE L’ON ESPERE

SAMEDI 3E SEMAINE DU TEMPS ORDINAIRE PEE le vent et la mer lui obéissent

Lecture de la lettre aux Hébreux 11, 1-2. 8-19 

« Il attendait la ville dont Dieu lui-même est le bâtisseur et l’architecte »

Frères, la foi est une façon de posséder ce que l’on espère, un moyen de connaître des réalités qu’on ne voit pas. Et quand l’Écriture rend témoignage aux anciens, c’est à cause de leur foi.

Grâce à la foi, Abraham obéit à l’appel de Dieu : il partit vers un pays qu’il devait recevoir en héritage, et il partit sans savoir où il allait. Grâce à la foi, il vint séjourner en immigré dans la Terre promise, comme en terre étrangère ; il vivait sous la tente, ainsi qu’Isaac et Jacob, héritiers de la même promesse, car il attendait la ville qui aurait de vraies fondations, la ville dont Dieu lui-même est le bâtisseur et l’architecte.

Grâce à la foi, Sara, elle aussi, malgré son âge, fut rendue capable d’être à l’origine d’une descendance parce qu’elle pensait que Dieu est fidèle à ses promesses….

Refrain: Béni soit le Seigneur, le Dieu d’Israël, car il a visité son peuple

Évangile Marc 4, 35-41  « Qui est-il donc, celui-ci, pour que même le vent et la mer lui obéissent ? »

Ce jour-là, le soir venu, Jésus dit à ses disciples : « Passons sur l’autre rive. » Quittant la foule, ils emmenèrent Jésus, comme il était, dans la barque, et d’autres barques l’accompagnaient.

Survient une violente tempête. Les vagues se jetaient sur la barque, si bien que déjà elle se remplissait. Lui dormait sur le coussin à l’arrière. Les disciples le réveillent et lui disent : « Maître, nous sommes perdus ; cela ne te fait rien ? » Réveillé, il menaça le vent et dit à la mer : « Silence, tais-toi ! » Le vent tomba, et il se fit un grand calme. Jésus leur dit : « Pourquoi êtes-vous si craintifs ? N’avez- vous pas encore la foi ? » Saisis d’une grande crainte, ils se disaient entre eux : « Qui est-il donc, celui-ci, pour que même le vent et la mer lui obéissent ? » RC

Père aimant dans ta bonté, le monde est venu à l’existence. Tout a été créé par vos paroles. Père de toutes les choses créées, seule la foi peut garantir les bénédictions que nous espérons, ou prouver l’existence des réalités qui restent actuellement invisibles. Nos ancêtres ont été félicités pour leur foi. Par leur foi, nous voyons votre bienveillance, votre promesse accomplie à l’humanité.

 

Par leur foi notre foi est édifiée, car nous voyons votre grâce salvatrice par la naissance de votre Fils Jésus-Christ, une promesse faite, tenue et accomplie bien qu’elle ait pris de nombreuses années. Nous voyons votre grâce et votre puissance salvatrices, car nous croyons que Jésus-Christ est votre véritable image.

Nous savons que, par la foi, nous avons reçu vos bénédictions en tant que vos enfants. Bien que nous soyons étrangers sur la terre, à la recherche de notre demeure céleste. Nous somme assurées  par la foi et par la venue du Christ notre Rédempteur. Car avec lui nous somme certaines sans appréhension. Il calme chaque tempête, nous mettons notre confiance en Jésus-Christ.

Readings Hebrew 11:1-2,8-19

Abraham looked forward to a city founded, designed and built by God

Only faith can guarantee the blessings that we hope for, or prove the existence of the realities that at present remain unseen. It was for faith that our ancestors were commended. 

It was by faith that Abraham obeyed the call to set out for a country that was the inheritance given to him and his descendants, and that he set out without knowing where he was going. By faith he arrived, as a foreigner, in the Promised Land, and lived there as if in a strange country, with Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. They lived there in tents while he looked forward to a city founded, designed and built by God. 

It was equally by faith that Sarah, in spite of being past the age, was made able to conceive, because she believed that he who had made the promise would be faithful to it. Because of this, there came from one man, and one who was already as good as dead himself, more descendants than could be counted, as many as the stars of heaven or the grains of sand on the seashore....

Responsorial Psalm: Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel! 

He has visited his people and redeemed them

Evangeli Gospel Mark 4:35-41 'Even the wind and the sea obey him'

With the coming of evening, Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Let us cross over to the other side.’ And leaving the crowd behind they took him, just as he was, in the boat; and there were other boats with him. Then it began to blow a gale and the waves were breaking into the boat so that it was almost swamped. But he was in the stern, his head on the cushion, asleep. They woke him and said to him, ‘Master, do you not care? We are going down!’ And he woke up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, ‘Quiet now! Be calm!’ And the wind dropped, and all was calm again. Then he said to them, ‘Why are you so frightened? How is it that you have no faith?’ They were filled with awe and said to one another, ‘Who can this be? Even the wind and the sea obey him.’  CDR

Loving Father in your goodness the world came into existence. Everything created was by your spoken words. Father of all created things only faith can guarantee the blessings that we hope for, or prove the existence of the realities that at present remain unseen. Our ancestors were commended for their faith. By their faith we see your benevolence, your promise fulfilled to humanity.

On their faith our faith is built, for we see your saving grace by the birth of your Son Jesus Christ, a promise made, held and accomplished though it took many years. We see your saving grace and power, for we believe that Jesus Christ is your true image.

We know that through faith we also have received and will receive your blessings as your children. Though strangers on earth, our being in search of our heavenly home, this we are assured by faith through the coming of Christ our Redeemer for with him we are not afraid. He calms every storm, we put our trust in Jesus Christ .

Lecture de la lettre aux Hébreux 10, 32-39 

« Vous avez soutenu le dur combat. Ne perdez pas votre assurance »

Frères, souvenez-vous de ces premiers jours où vous veniez de recevoir la lumière du Christ : vous avez soutenu alors le dur combat des souffrances, tantôt donnés en spectacle sous les insultes et les brimades, tantôt solidaires de ceux qu’on traitait ainsi. En effet, vous avez montré de la compassion à ceux qui étaient en prison ; vous avez accepté avec joie qu’on vous arrache vos biens, car vous étiez sûrs de posséder un bien encore meilleur, et permanent. Ne perdez pas votre assurance ; grâce à elle, vous serez largement récompensés. 

Car l’endurance vous est nécessaire pour accomplir la volonté de Dieu et obtenir ainsi la réalisation des promesses. En effet, encore un peu, très peu de temps, et celui qui doit venir arrivera, il ne tardera pas. Celui qui est juste à mes yeux par la foi vivra ; mais s’il abandonne, je ne trouve plus mon bonheur en lui. 

Or nous ne sommes pas, nous, de ceux qui abandonnent et vont à leur perte, mais de ceux qui ont la foi et sauvegardent leur âme.

Refrain: Le salut des justes vient du Seigneur

Évangeli Évangile Marc 4, 26-34 

« L’homme qui jette en terre la semence, qu’il dorme ou qu’il se lève, 

la semence grandit, il ne sait comment »

En ce temps-là, Jésus disait aux foules : « Il en est du règne de Dieu comme d’un homme qui jette en terre la semence : nuit et jour, qu’il dorme ou qu’il se lève, la semence germe et grandit, il ne sait

comment. D’elle-même, la terre produit d’abord l’herbe, puis l’épi, enfin du blé plein l’épi. Et dès que le blé est mûr, il y met la faucille, puisque le temps de la moisson est arrivé. » RC

Il disait encore : « À quoi allons-nous comparer le règne de Dieu ? Par quelle parabole pouvons-nous le représenter ? Il est comme une graine de moutarde : quand on la sème en terre, elle est la plus petite de toutes les semences. Mais quand on l’a semée, elle grandit et dépasse toutes les plantes potagères ; et elle étend de longues branches, si bien que les oiseaux du ciel peuvent faire leur nid à son ombre. »

Par de nombreuses paraboles semblables, Jésus leur annonçait la Parole, dans la mesure où ils étaient capables de l’entendre. Il ne leur disait rien sans parabole, mais il expliquait tout à ses disciples en particulier.

Père aimant, nous vivons dans un monde où il y a la proclamation d’une idéologie religieuse différente. Nous savons que Jésus-Christ, ton Fils, est la vérité et la vie. Il est le chemin vers votre Royaume éternel. Père envoie-nous ton Esprit Saint notre instructeur pour nous enseigner tes paroles, que ton Esprit guide toutes nos actions. 

Père, nous avons besoin d’endurance pour faire ta volonté afin de gagner la promesse que tu nous a promis. Les justes vivront par la foi, nous nous accrochons à vos paroles et croyons fermement en vous. Transformez-nous. Nous serons fidèles à vos commandements car notre salut vient de vous. Que votre Royaume vienne.

 

Priez le Saint Rosaire : Je vous salue Marie, Mère de notre Seigneur et Sauveur, priez pour nous. Je vous salue Sainte Reine, notre Mère, priez pour nous.

GOD'S KINGDOM IS LIKE A SEED

Reading Hebrew 10:32-39 We are the sort who keep faithful

Remember all the sufferings that you had to meet after you received the light, in earlier days; sometimes by being yourselves publicly exposed to insults and violence, and sometimes as associates of others who were treated in the same way. For you not only shared in the sufferings of those who were in prison, but you happily accepted being stripped of your belongings, knowing that you owned something that was better and lasting. Be as confident now, then, since the reward is so great. You will need endurance to do God’s will and gain what he has promised. 

Only a little while now, a very little while, and the one that is coming will have come; he will not delay. The righteous man will live by faith, but if he draws back, my soul will take no pleasure in him.

You and I are not the sort of people who draw back, and are lost by it; we are the sort who keep faithful until our souls are saved.

Responsorial Psalm: The salvation of the just comes from the Lord 

Evangeli Gospel Mark 4:26-34  The kingdom of God is a mustard seed growing into the biggest shrub of all

Jesus said to the crowds: ‘This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man throws seed on the land. Night and day, while he sleeps, when he is awake, the seed is sprouting and growing; how, he does not know. Of its own accord the land produces first the shoot, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. And when the crop is ready, he loses no time: he starts to reap because the harvest has come.’  RC

He also said, ‘What can we say the kingdom of God is like? What parable can we find for it? It is like a mustard seed which at the time of its sowing in the soil is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet once it is sown it grows into the biggest shrub of them all and puts out big branches so that the birds of the air can shelter in its shade.’ 

Using many parables like these, he spoke the word to them, so far as they were capable of understanding it. He would not speak to them except in parables, but he explained everything to his disciples when they were alone.

Loving Father, we live in a world where there is the proclamation of different religion ideology. We know that Jesus Christ your Son is the truth and life. He is the way to your eternal Kingdom. Father send us your Holy Spirit our instructor to teach us your words, may your Spirit  guide all our actions. 

Father, we need endurance to do your will in order to gain your promise to us. The righteous will live by faith, we hold on to your words and firmly believe in you. Transform us. We will be faithful to your commands for our salvation comes from you. May your Kingdom come.
