GLORIALITURGY

As we celebrate and offer our daily offerings in our daily Mass on God's Altar in remembrance of Christ Sacrifice, may God destroy every evil altar in our homes, families and lives.

GOD IS POWERFUL

God is wise and powerful! Praise him for ever and ever.
He controls the times and seasons;
he makes and unmakes kings;
it is he who gives wisdom and understanding.

He reveals things that are deep and secret;
he knows what is hidden in darkness,
and he himself is surrounded by light.

I praise you and honour you, God of my ancestors.
You have given me wisdom and strength.
You have answered my prayers.   Daniel 2:20-23

DO NOT GO AGAINST TRUTH

Do not, however go against the truth, and remember
that you do not know everything.
Don’t be ashamed to confess your sins; there is no point in
trying to stop a river from flowing.
Don’t allow yourself to be dominated by someone who is stupid
or show partiality to influential people.
Stand up for what is right, even if it costs you your life;
the Lord God will be fighting on your side.  Sir. 4:25-28

THE HAPPINESS OF HAVING WISDOM

It is a happy person who is concerned with Wisdom and who uses good sense.
Anyone who studies the way of Wisdom will also learn her secrets.  Go after
Wisdom like a hunter looking for game.  Look into her window and listen at her
Doors.  Camp as close to her as you can get, and you will have a fine place to
live.  Build your home there, safe beneath her protecting branches, and shaded
from heat. Sir. 14:20-27

VIRTUE

Wisdom 4 :1-3

It is better to have virtue, even if it means having no children.
Your virtue will be recognised by other people and by God,
And you will be remembered for it for ever.

Virtue provides an example for people to follow, when it is
Not there, they miss it.  It has always been the finest prize a
Person can win, and it always will be so.

It is the noblest of all the good qualities a person can have.

SINCERITY AND SELF-CONTROL

Be certain about what you believe and consistent in what you say.
Don't try to please everyone or agree with everything people say.
Always be ready to listen, but take your time in answering.

Answer only if you know what to say, and if you don't
know what to say, keep quiet.  Speaking can bring you
either honour or disgrace; what you say can ruin you. Sirach 5:9-10

FRIENDSHIP

Don't make friends with people who have hot,
violent tempers.
You might learn their habits
 and not be able to change. Prov. 22:24

THE VALUE OF WISDOM

Wisdom 6:12-16

wisdom shines bright and never grows dim,
those who lover her look for her can easily find her.
She is quick to make herself known to anyone who desires her.

Get up early in the morning to find her sitting at your door.
To fasten your attention on Wisdom is to gain perfect
understanding.

 If you look for her, you will soon find peace of mind,
because she will be looking for those who are worthy of her,
and she will find you wherever you are.

She is kind and will be with you in your every thought.

Psalm 27

GREATNESS

O Lord, I will always sing of your constant love;
I will proclaim your faithfulness for ever.
I know that your love will last for all time,
that your faithfulness is as permanent as the sky.  Psalm 89:1-2

GREATNESS

Success often comes
to those who dare and act;
it seldom goes to the timid
who are afraid of the consequences.
We play stakes; and if we seek to
achieve great things,
it can be through great dangers.

Whether we succeed, soon or late,
none but ourselves can stop us
 from high endeavour
and from writing a noble page
in our country’s long and splendid history.   J. Nehru

ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER

I don’t let the troubles of life get me down,
for I know that my Lord will soon turn things around.
I’ve learned to be patient and hold to His hand.
I know through it all my God has a plan.

I’ve learned not to lean to my own thoughts and ways,
for He is the Author of all my days.
In Him is my faith, my deliverance, my rest,
for He knows that through trials, my life shall be blessed.

Why fret over things not within my control,
When God offers peace to my mind and soul?
He is my salvation; on Him I depend.
All things work together for me in the end.
