GLORIALITURGY

As we celebrate and offer our daily offerings in our daily Mass on God's Altar in remembrance of Christ Sacrifice, may God destroy every evil altar in our homes, families and lives.

BAPTISM OF THE LORD

THE LORD'S BAPTISM

Here is my servant whom I uphold, my chosen one with whom I am pleased, upon whom I have put my spirit; he shall bring forth justice to the nations. Isaiah 42:1

Recently we celebrated the visitation of the three wise men from the east to Jesus Christ,  the new born king (EPIPHANY).  The fulfillment of the prophecy by the prophets.  Today we are celebrating the baptism of Our Lord.  In his baptism God the Father affirmed  that Christ is his Son, and the Holy Spirit confirmed God's declaration by descending on HIM as a dove.

Anyone who encounters Christ does not remain the same.  This we saw beginning with Elizabeth when Mary paid her a visit after the annunciation by the angel,  the shepherds, the three wise men, his ministry, his death, his resurrection, our present world.

Jesus yesterday, Jesus today, Jesus forever.  His kingdom is everlasting.

The Catholic liturgical calendar for the year of Mercy is Year C.  Monday the 11th is the beginning of Ordinary Time.  The liturgical color is GREEN. However, WHITE and RED are liturgical colors for  Feasts, Memorials, and Solemnities.

Christ, Son of the living God have mercy on us

EPIPHANY

EPIPHANY

We know that the Son of God has come and has given us discernment to know the true.  We are in the one who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ.  He is the true God and eternal life.  1John 5:20

In times past, God spoke in partial ways to our ancestors through the prophets.  In these last days, he spoke to us through a Son, whom he made heir of all things and through whom he created the universe. Heb:1-2

In the Octave of Christmas we celebrated the Solemnity; (Jan. 1st)
Mary, the Mother of God

She is the mother of the Church and mother to all Christians those who have accepted Christ as their  Lord and Saviour. My blog is in honour of her as a woman blessed among women.  Her YES.

What does this mean to you,  the salvation of  mankind. Do you consider yourself lucky to be called sons and daughters of God our Heavenly Father?

'Marvellous is the mystery proclaimed today: man's nature is made new as God becomes man; he remains what he was and becomes what he was not.  Yet each nature stays distinct and for ever undivided'  Pauline's Divine Office

PRAYER FOR 1ST JANUARY 2016

Be good to me, your servant, so that I may live and obey your teachings.  Open my eyes, so that I may see the wonderful truths in your law.

Thoughts of Solitude
My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going.  I cannot see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end.  Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so.  But I believe that the desire to please you does, in fact, please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire.  And I know that if I do this, you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it. Therefore, will I trust you always, though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, let me feel close to Thee.  Grant, O Lord, that in this moment I may truly surrender my life to Thee and realise the power that is within me so that I may overcome all difficulties in myself and be confident and sure through the help of Jesus Christ, in whose name I pray.
Amen.

MAY GOD GRANT US HIS MERCY.
May we be merciful to one another, and may peace reign in our world.
