Psalm 63:2-9       A soul thirsting for God

O God, you are my God; at dawn I seek you, for you my soul is thirsting.
For you my flesh is pining, like a dry, weary land without water.
I have come before you in the holy place, to behold your strength and your glory.

Your loving mercy is better than life, my lips will speak your praise.
I will bless you all my life, in your name I will lift up my hand.
My soul shall be filled as with a banquet; with joyful my mouth shall praise you.

When I remember you upon my bed, I muse on you through the watches of the night.
For you have been my strength, in the shadow of your wings I rejoice.
My soul clings fast to you; your right hand upholds me.

Ant. 2     From the midst of the flames the three young men
cried out with one voice, Blessed be God, alleluia

Cant. Daniel 3:57-86

Bless the Lord, all you works of the Lord, praise and highly exalt him for ever.
Heavens, bless the Lord, praise and highly exalt him for ever.

Angels of the Lord, bless the Lord, praise and highly exalt him for ever.
All waters above the heavens, bless the Lord, praise and highly exalt him for ever.

All powers of the Lord, bless the Lord, praise and highly exalt him for ever.
Sun and moon, bless the Lord, praise and highly exalt him for ever.

Stars of heaven, bless the Lord, praise and highly exalt him for ever.
Every shower and dew, bless the Lord, praise and highly exalt him for ever……

Ant. 1     Praise the Lord, for his loving kindness will never fail, alleluia

Psalm 118

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures for ever.
Let the house of Israel say,
His mercy endures for ever.
Let the house of Aaron say,
His mercy endures for ever.
Let those who fear the Lord say,
His mercy endures for ever.

I called the Lord in my distress;
He has answered and freed me.
The Lord is at my side, I do not fear,
What can man do against me?
The Lord is at my side as my helper,
I shall look in triumph on my foes…..

Ant. 2     Alleluia! Bless the Lord, all you works of the Lord, alleluia!

Blest are you, O Lord, the God of our fathers, to be praised and highly exalted for ever.
Blest is your glorious and holy name, to be highly praised and exalted for ever.
Blest are you in the temple of your glory, to be highly praised and glorified for ever.
Blest are you on the throne of your kingdom, to be praised and highly exalted for ever.
Blest are you who look into the depths, seated upon the cherubim, to be praised,
and highly exalted for ever.
Blest are you in the firmament of heavens, to be praised and highly glorified for ever.
Bless the Lord, all you works of the Lord, praise and highly exalt him for ever.

Song of trust

SUNDAY WEEK III

Invitatory:           Lord, open my lips

O God come to my assistance. Lord make haste to help me.

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Alleluia

Ant. I                     Glorious is the Lord on high, alleluia

Psalm 93              Splendour of God the Creator

The Lord is king, with majesty enrobed, the Lord has robed himself with might,
he has girded himself with power.

The world you made them firm, and not to be moved, your throne has stood firm from of old.
From all eternity, O Lord, you are.

The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voices,
the floods have lifted up their thunder.

Greater than the roar of mighty waters, more glorious than the surging of the sea,
the Lord is glorious on high.

Truly your decrees are to be trusted. Holiness is fitting to your house,
O Lord, until the end of time.

Psaume 93
