GLORIALITURGY

As we celebrate and offer our daily offerings in our daily Mass on God's Altar in remembrance of Christ Sacrifice, may God destroy every evil altar in our homes, families and lives.

ADVENT

Father, I thank you for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.  Your sending him into the world reveals how much you love us.

Father, I thank you for loving us so much. As we begin this Season of Advent bring us closer to you; help us, Lord, to appreciate your love.

SOLEMNITY OF CHRIST THE KING

CHRIST THE KING - LAST SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

MY PRAYER

That each day I draw closer to you Lord
That each day my heart be like that of my Lord Jesus Christ
That each day I grow in holiness
That each day cares and worries do
not take control of my life
That each day my knowledge of you increases
That each day I see you in all creatures
That each day I grow in humility.

My prayer to you Lord that I am what you desire me to be.

Psalm 63:2-9       A soul thirsting for God

O God, you are my God; at dawn I seek you, for you my soul is thirsting.
For you my flesh is pining, like a dry, weary land without water.
I have come before you in the holy place, to behold your strength and your glory.

Your loving mercy is better than life, my lips will speak your praise.
I will bless you all my life, in your name I will lift up my hand.
My soul shall be filled as with a banquet; with joyful my mouth shall praise you.

When I remember you upon my bed, I muse on you through the watches of the night.
For you have been my strength, in the shadow of your wings I rejoice.
My soul clings fast to you; your right hand upholds me.

GOD BE WITH ME

                                    GOD BE WITH ME

Lord Jesus, sometimes I feel that my life is mixed with colours
that do not really blend together.

It is when I am angry, when I am sad, when I am sick.
Sometimes when I quarrel with other children like me.

Dear Lord, I know that this is not a good experience.
Help me, Lord, to know and realize when these colours are reflected in me.

Lord, with your help, though they may not blend,
help me to put them in order
So that the beauty of colours that do not blend in me,
when properly arranged, will give a wonderful sight to behold.

Ant. 3     Praise the Lord in the assembly of his holy people (alleluia)

Psalm 149

Sing a new song to the Lord, his praise in the assembly of the faithful.
Let Israel rejoice in its Maker, let Zion’s children exult in their king.
Let them praise his name with dancing, and make music with timbrel and harp.

For the Lord takes delight in his people, he crowns the poor with salvation.
Let the faithful rejoice in glory, shout with joy on their couches.
Let the praise of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand.

Reflection:     Isaiah 56:7

I will bring them to my holy mountain and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their holocausts and sacrifices will be acceptable on my altar, for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.

Je les amènerai sur ma montagne sainte, Et je les réjouirai dans ma maison de prière; leurs holocaustes et leurs sacrifices seront agréés sur mon autel; Car ma maison sera appelée une maison de prière pour tous les peuples.     Isaiah 56:7

Responsory:        The Lord is great beyond all telling, he exceeds all praise, alleluia, alleluia

Benedictus Ant.  Zacchaeus, hurry down.  I mean to stay with you today.  He hurried down and welcomed
Christ with joy, for this day salvation had come to his house, alleluia

Intercession:     We are the living stones, laid upon the cornerstone that is Christ.  Let us pray to our all-powerful
Father for his Son’s beloved Church, professing our faith in her as we say.

Response:             This is the house of God and the gate of heaven

Ø  Father, like the farmer, prune your vineyard, protect it and increase its yield, until it extends you throughout the world.

Ø  External shepherd, protect and increase your flock, that all the sheep may be gathered into one flock under your Son, the one shepherd.

Ø  All-powerful sower, plant the word in your field, that it may yield a hundredfold for your eternal harvest.

Ø  Wise builder, sanctify your home and your family, that the heavenly city, the new Jerusalem, your spouse, may appear before all your glorious Bride.

Prayer:   God our Father, from living stones, your chosen people, you built an eternal temple to your glory.  Increase the spiritual gifts you have given to your Church that your faithful people may continue to grow into the new and eternal Jerusalem.  We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
