Me voici, Seigneur, je viens faire ta volonté.

 

Première Lecture 1 Samuel 3,3b-10.19 « Parle, Seigneur, ton serviteur écoute »

En ces jours-là, le jeune Samuel était couché dans le temple du Seigneur à Silo, où se trouvait l’arche de Dieu. Le Seigneur appela Samuel, qui répondit : « Me voici ! » Il courut vers le prêtre Éli, et il dit : « Tu m’as appelé, me voici. » Éli répondit : « Je n’ai pas appelé. Retourne te coucher. » L’enfant alla se coucher. De nouveau, le Seigneur appela Samuel. Et Samuel se leva. Il alla auprès d’Éli, et il dit : « Tu m’as appelé, me voici. » Éli répondit : « Je n’ai pas appelé, mon fils. Retourne te coucher. »

Samuel ne connaissait pas encore le Seigneur, et la parole du Seigneur ne lui avait pas encore été révélée. De nouveau, le Seigneur appela Samuel. Celui-ci se leva. Il alla auprès d’Éli, et il dit : « Tu m’as appelé, me voici. » Alors Éli comprit que c’était le Seigneur qui appelait l’enfant, et il lui dit : « Va te recoucher, et s’il t’appelle, tu diras : “Parle, Seigneur, ton serviteur écoute.” »

Samuel alla se recoucher à sa place habituelle. Le Seigneur vint, il se tenait là et il appela comme les autres fois : « Samuel ! Samuel ! » Et Samuel répondit : « Parle, ton serviteur écoute. » Samuel grandit. Le Seigneur était avec lui, et il ne laissa aucune de ses paroles sans effet.

Deuixème Lecture 1Corinthiens 6,13c-15a.17-20 « Vos corps sont les membres du Christ »

Frères, le corps n’est pas pour la débauche, il est pour le Seigneur, et le Seigneur est pour le corps ; et Dieu, par sa puissance, a ressuscité le Seigneur et nous ressuscitera nous aussi. Ne le savez-vous pas ? Vos corps sont les membres du Christ. Celui qui s’unit au Seigneur ne fait avec lui qu’un seul esprit. Fuyez la débauche. Tous les péchés que l’homme peut commettre sont extérieurs à son corps ; mais l’homme qui se livre à la débauche commet un péché contre son propre corps.

Ne le savez-vous pas ? Votre corps est un sanctuaire de l’Esprit Saint, lui qui est en vous et que vous avez reçu de Dieu ; vous ne vous appartenez plus à vous-mêmes, car vous avez été achetés à grand prix. Rendez donc gloire à Dieu dans votre corps.

 Évangile Jean 1, 35-42  « Ils virent où il demeurait, et ils restèrent auprès de lui »

RC: En ce temps-là, Jean le Baptiste se trouvait avec deux de ses disciples. Posant son regard sur Jésus qui allait et venait, il dit : « Voici l’Agneau de Dieu. » Les deux disciples entendirent ce qu’il disait, et ils suivirent Jésus. Se retournant, Jésus vit qu’ils le suivaient, et leur dit : « Que cherchez-vous ? » Ils lui répondirent : « Rabbi – ce qui veut dire : Maître –, où demeures-tu ? » Il leur dit : « Venez, et vous verrez. » Ils allèrent donc, ils virent où il demeurait, et ils restèrent auprès de lui ce jour-là. C’était vers la dixième heure (environ quatre heures de l’après-midi).

André, le frère de Simon-Pierre, était l’un des deux disciples qui avaient entendu la parole de Jean et qui avaient suivi Jésus.  Il trouve d’abord Simon, son propre frère, et lui dit : « Nous avons trouvé le Messie » – ce qui veut dire : Christ. André amena son frère à Jésus. Jésus posa son regard sur lui et dit : « Tu es Simon, fils de Jean ; tu t’appelleras Kèphas » – ce qui veut dire : Pierre.

Here I am, Lord! I come to do your will.

First Reading 1 Samuel 3:3-10,19 'Speak, Lord, your servant is listening'

Samuel was lying in the sanctuary of the Lord, where the ark of God was, when the Lord called, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ He answered, ‘Here I am.’ Then he ran to Eli and said, ‘Here I am, since you called me.’ Eli said, ‘I did not call. Go back and lie down.’ So he went and lay down. Once again the Lord called, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, ‘Here I am, since you called me.’ He replied, ‘I did not call you, my son; go back and lie down.’ Samuel had as yet no knowledge of the Lord and the word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him. Once again the Lord called, the third time. He got up and went to Eli and said, ‘Here I am, since you called me.’ Eli then understood that it was the Lord who was calling the boy, and he said to Samuel, ‘Go and lie down, and if someone calls say, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.”’ So Samuel went and lay down in his place. 

The Lord then came and stood by, calling as he had done before, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ Samuel answered, ‘Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.’ 

Samuel grew up and the Lord was with him and let no word of his fall to the ground.

Second Reading 1 Corinthians 6:13-15,17-20 Do not sin against your own body

The body is not meant for fornication: it is for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. God, who raised the Lord from the dead, will by his power raise us up too. 

You know, surely, that your bodies are members making up the body of Christ; do you think I can take parts of Christ’s body and join them to the body of a prostitute? Never! But anyone who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him. 

Keep away from fornication. All the other sins are committed outside the body; but to fornicate is to sin against your own body. Your body, you know, is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you since you received him from God. You are not your own property; you have been bought and paid for. That is why you should use your body for the glory of God.

Gospel John 1:35-42    'We have found the Messiah'

CDR: As John stood with two of his disciples, Jesus passed, and John stared hard at him and said, ‘Look, there is the lamb of God.’ Hearing this, the two disciples followed Jesus. Jesus turned round, saw them following and said, ‘What do you want?’ They answered, ‘Rabbi,’ – which means Teacher – ‘where do you live?’ ‘Come and see’ he replied; so they went and saw where he lived, and stayed with him the rest of that day. It was about the tenth hour. 

One of these two who became followers of Jesus after hearing what John had said was Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter. Early next morning, Andrew met his brother and said to him, ‘We have found the Messiah’ – which means the Christ – and he took Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked hard at him and said,

‘You are Simon son of John; you are to be called Cephas’ – meaning Rock.

«Je ne suis pas venu appeler des justes, mais des pécheurs.»

PEE: Première Lecture 1 Samuel 9,1-4.17-19; 10,1 

« Voilà l’homme dont le Seigneur avait parlé ;

c’est lui, Saül, qui exercera le pouvoir sur son peuple »

 

Il y avait dans la tribu de Benjamin un homme appelé Kish. C’était un homme de valeur. Il avait un fils appelé Saül, qui était jeune et beau. Aucun fils d’Israël n’était plus beau que lui, et il dépassait tout le monde de plus d’une tête. Les ânesses appartenant à Kish, père de Saül, s’étaient égarées. Kish dit à son fils Saül : « Prends donc avec toi l’un des serviteurs, et pars à la recherche des ânesses. » Ils traversèrent la montagne d’Éphraïm, ils traversèrent le pays de Shalisha sans les trouver ; ils traversèrent le pays de Shaalim : elles n’y étaient pas ; ils traversèrent le pays de Benjamin sans les trouver. Alors ils allèrent à la ville où se trouvait l’homme de Dieu.

Quand Samuel aperçut Saül, le Seigneur l’avertit : « Voilà l’homme dont je t’ai parlé ; c’est lui qui exercera le pouvoir sur mon peuple. » Saül aborda Samuel à l’entrée de la ville et lui dit : « Indique-moi, je t’en prie, où est la maison du voyant. » Samuel répondit à Saül : « C’est moi le voyant. Monte devant moi au lieu sacré. Vous mangerez aujourd’hui avec moi. Demain matin, je te laisserai partir et je te renseignerai sur tout ce qui te préoccupe. »

Le lendemain, Samuel prit la fiole d’huile et la répandit sur la tête de Saül ; puis il l’embrassa et lui dit : « N’est-ce pas le Seigneur qui te donne l’onction comme chef sur son héritage ? »

Psaume: Seigneur, le roi se réjouit de ta force. 

Évangile  Marc 2, 13-17  «Je ne suis pas venu appeler des justes, mais des pécheurs »

RC: En ce temps-là, Jésus sortit de nouveau le long de la mer ; toute la foule venait à lui, et il les enseignait. En passant, il aperçut Lévi, fils d’Alphée, assis au bureau des impôts. Il lui dit : « Suis-moi. » L’homme se leva et le suivit. Comme Jésus était à table dans la maison de Lévi, beaucoup de publicains (c’est-à-dire des collecteurs d’impôts) et beaucoup de pécheurs vinrent prendre place avec Jésus et ses disciples, car ils étaient nombreux à le suivre.

Les scribes du groupe des pharisiens, voyant qu’il mangeait avec les pécheurs et les publicains, disaient à ses disciples : « Comment ! Il mange avec les publicains et les pécheurs ! » Jésus, qui avait entendu, leur déclara : « Ce ne sont pas les gens bien portants qui ont besoin du médecin, mais les malades. Je ne suis pas venu appeler des justes, mais des pécheurs. »

Dieu mon Père, je te remercie pour mon être. Père, que ton Saint-Esprit demeure avec moi. Père guide-moi. Montre-moi le chemin à suivre. Père, ta force me donne la joie. Ton aide salvatrice me rend heureux. Père, je te remercie car tu as exaucé au désir de mon cœur. Tu n’as pas rejeté la prière de mes lèvres. Père, je te remercie pour tes bénédictions et bienfaits. Je te remercie pour ton assistance, pour ta gloire. Mon Dieu puis-je réjouir toujours en ta présence.

Jésus, j’ai confiance en toi. Seigneur, tu es venu pour les pécheurs. J’ai besoin de toi dans ma vie car ce ne sont pas ceux qui portent bien ont besoin du médecin, mais les malades. Seigneur, je ne suis pas digne de t’approcher. Je te suivrai, c’est moi que tu cherches. Vierge Marie, priez pour moi. Saint Joseph, priez pour moi. Les anges et les saints de Dieu prient pour moi. Mon Ange Gardien prie pour moi.

' I did not come to call the virtuous, but sinners.’

CI: Reading 1 Samuel 9:1-4,17-19,10:1 The Lord chooses Saul as king; Samuel anoints him

Among the men of Benjamin there was a man named Kish son of Abiel, son of Zeror, son of Becorath, son of Aphiah; a Benjaminite and a man of rank. He had a son named Saul, a handsome man in the prime of life. Of all the Israelites there was no one more handsome than he; he stood head and shoulders taller than the rest of the people. Now some of the she-donkeys of Saul’s father Kish had strayed, so Kish said to Saul, ‘My son, take one of the servants with you and be off; go and look for the she-donkeys.’ They passed through the highlands of Ephraim and passed through the land of Shalishah, but did not find them; they passed through the land of Shaalim, they were not there; they passed through the land of Benjamin, but did not find them. 

When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord told him, ‘That is the man of whom I told you; he shall rule my people.’ Saul accosted Samuel in the gateway and said, ‘Tell me, please, where the seer’s house is?’ Samuel replied to Saul, ‘I am the seer. Go up ahead of me to the high place. You are to eat with me today. In the morning I shall take leave of you and tell you all that is in your heart.’ 

Samuel took a phial of oil and poured it on Saul’s head; then he kissed him, saying, ‘Has not the Lord anointed you prince over his people Israel? You are the man who must rule the Lord’s people, and who must save them from the power of the enemies surrounding them.’

Gospel Mark 2:13-17  I did not come to call the virtuous, but sinners

CDR: Jesus went out to the shore of the lake; and all the people came to him, and he taught them. As he was walking on he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus, sitting by the customs house, and he said to him, ‘Follow me.’ And he got up and followed him. 

When Jesus was at dinner in his house, a number of tax collectors and sinners were also sitting at the table with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many of them among his followers. When the scribes of the Pharisee party saw him eating with sinners and tax collectors, they said to his disciples, ‘Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?’ When Jesus heard this he said to them, ‘It is not the healthy who need the doctor, but the sick. I did not come to call the virtuous, but sinners.’

God my Father I thank you for my being. Father may your Holy Spirit abide with me. Guide me Father. Show me the path to follow.  Father your strength gives me joy. Your saving help makes me glad. Father I thank you for you have granted my heart’s desire. You have not refused the prayer of my lips. Father I thank you for the blessings of success. I thank you for your saving help, for your glory. May I rejoice always in your presence my God.

Jesus I trust in you. Lord I need you in my life for It is not the healthy who need the doctor, but the sick. You came call sinners. Lord I am not worthy. I will follow you, it is me you are looking for. Virgin Mary pray for me. Saint Joseph pray for me. God’s Angels and Saints pray for me. My Guardian Angel pray for me.

Qui donc peut pardonner les péchés, sinon Dieu seul ?

EC: Première Lecture 1 Samuel 8,4-7.10-22a « Vous pousserez des cris à

cause du roi que vous aurez choisi, mais le Seigneur ne vous répondra pas ! » 

En ces jours-là, tous les anciens d’Israël se réunirent et vinrent trouver Samuel à Rama. Ils lui dirent : « Tu es devenu vieux, et tes fils ne marchent pas sur tes traces. Maintenant donc, établis, pour nous gouverner, un roi comme en ont toutes les nations. » Samuel fut mécontent parce qu’ils avaient dit : « Donne-nous un roi pour nous gouverner », et il se mit à prier le Seigneur. Or, le Seigneur lui répondit : « Écoute la voix du peuple en tout ce qu’ils te diront. Ce n’est pas toi qu’ils rejettent, c’est moi qu’ils rejettent : ils ne veulent pas que je règne sur eux. »

Samuel rapporta toutes les paroles du Seigneur au peuple qui lui demandait un roi. Et il dit : « Tels seront les droits du roi qui va régner sur vous. Vos fils, il les prendra, il les affectera à ses chars et à ses chevaux, et ils courront devant son char. Il les utilisera comme officiers de millier et comme officiers de cinquante hommes ; il les fera labourer et moissonner à son profit, fabriquer ses armes de guerre et les pièces de ses chars. Vos filles, il les prendra pour la préparation de ses parfums, pour sa cuisine et pour sa boulangerie. Les meilleurs de vos champs, de vos vignes et de vos oliveraies, il les prendra pour les donner à ses serviteurs. Sur vos cultures et vos vignes il prélèvera la dîme, pour la donner à ses dignitaires et à ses serviteurs. Les meilleurs de vos serviteurs, de vos servantes et de vos jeunes gens, ainsi que vos ânes, il les prendra et les fera travailler pour lui. Sur vos troupeaux, il prélèvera la dîme, et vous-mêmes deviendrez ses esclaves. Ce jour-là, vous pousserez des cris à cause du roi que vous aurez choisi, mais, ce jour-là, le Seigneur ne vous répondra pas ! »

Le peuple refusa d’écouter Samuel et dit : « Non ! il nous faut un roi ! Nous serons, nous aussi, comme toutes les nations ; notre roi nous gouvernera, il marchera à notre tête et combattra avec nous. » Samuel écouta toutes les paroles du peuple et les répéta aux oreilles du Seigneur. Et le Seigneur lui dit : « Écoute-les, et qu’un roi règne sur eux ! »

Psaume: Ton amour, Seigneur, sans fin je le chante !:PEE

Évangile  Marc 2, 1-12 « Le Fils de l’homme a autorité pour pardonner les péchés sur la terre »

RC: Quelques jours après la guérison d’un lépreux, Jésus revint à Capharnaüm, et l’on apprit qu’il était à la maison. Tant de monde s’y rassembla qu’il n’y avait plus de place, pas même devant la porte, et il leur annonçait la Parole. Arrivent des gens qui lui amènent un paralysé, porté par quatre hommes. Comme ils ne peuvent l’approcher à cause de la foule, ils découvrent le toit au-dessus de lui, ils font une ouverture, et descendent le brancard sur lequel était couché le paralysé. Voyant leur foi, Jésus dit au paralysé : « Mon enfant, tes péchés sont pardonnés. »

Or, il y avait quelques scribes, assis là, qui raisonnaient en eux-mêmes : « Pourquoi celui-là parle-t-il ainsi ? Il blasphème. Qui donc peut pardonner les péchés, sinon Dieu seul ? » Percevant aussitôt dans son esprit les raisonnements qu’ils se faisaient, Jésus leur dit : « Pourquoi tenez-vous de tels raisonnements ? Qu’est-ce qui est le plus facile ? Dire à ce paralysé : “Tes péchés sont pardonnés”, ou bien lui dire : “Lève-toi, prends ton brancard et marche” ? Eh bien ! Pour que vous sachiez que le Fils de l’homme a autorité pour pardonner les péchés sur la terre… – Jésus s’adressa au paralysé – je te le dis, lève-toi, prends ton brancard, et rentre dans ta maison. » Il se leva, prit aussitôt son brancard, et sortit devant tout le monde. Tous étaient frappés de stupeur et rendaient gloire à Dieu, en disant : « Nous n’avons jamais rien vu de pareil. 

Mon Dieu, mon Père qui es aux cieux, combien de fois t’ai-je rejeté par ma désobéissance ! Père, chaque fois que je refuse d’obéir à tes commandements et que je refuse d’obéir à Christ, c’est de l’insubordination. En rejetant Christ dans ma vie, je deviens esclave. Père, sanctifie-moi. Donne-moi ton Saint-Esprit.

Jésus miséricordieux, je sais que tu ne m’abandonneras jamais. Me voici devant toi, pardonne-moi Seigneur. Guéris-moi, Seigneur. Seigneur, j’amène mes amis et mes familles auprès de toi, Seigneur, bénis-les et bénis toutes tes créatures. Aie pitié Seigneur, pardonne-nous nos péchés.

Jésus, j’ai confiance en toi. Vierge Marie, priez pour moi. Saint Joseph, priez pour moi. Les anges et les saints de Dieu prient pour moi. Mon Ange Gardien prie pour moi.

Who can forgive sins but God

CI: First Reading 1 Samuel 8:4-7, 10-22 The people of Israel demand a king

All the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. ‘Look,’ they said to him ‘you are old, and your sons do not follow your ways. So give us a king to rule over us, like the other nations.’ It displeased Samuel that they should say, ‘Let us have a king to rule us’, so he prayed to the Lord. But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for it is not you they have rejected; they have rejected me from ruling over them.’ 

All that the Lord had said Samuel repeated to the people who were asking him for a king. He said, ‘These will be the rights of the king who is to reign over you. He will take your sons and assign them to his chariotry and cavalry, and they will run in front of his chariot. He will use them as leaders of a thousand and leaders of fifty; he will make them plough his ploughland and harvest his harvest and make his weapons of war and the gear for his chariots. He will also take your daughters as perfumers, cooks and bakers. He will take the best of your fields, of your vineyards and olive groves and give them to his officials. He will tithe your crops and vineyards to provide for his eunuchs and his officials. He will take the best of your manservants and maidservants, of your cattle and your donkeys, and make them work for him. He will tithe your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. When that day comes, you will cry out on account of the king you have chosen for yourselves, but on that day God will not answer you.’ 

The people refused to listen to the words of Samuel. They said, ‘No! We want a king, so that we in our turn can be like the other nations; our king shall rule us and be our leader and fight our battles.’ Samuel listened to all that the people had to say and repeated it in the ears of the Lord. The Lord then said to Samuel, ‘Obey their voice and give them a king.’

Gospel Mark 2:1-12 The Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins

CDR: When Jesus returned to Capernaum, word went round that he was back; and so many people collected that there was no room left, even in front of the door. He was preaching the word to them when some people came bringing him a paralytic carried by four men, but as the crowd made it impossible to get the man to him, they stripped the roof over the place where Jesus was; and when they had made an opening, they lowered the stretcher on which the paralytic lay. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, ‘My child, your sins are forgiven.’ Now some scribes were sitting there, and they thought to themselves, ‘How can this man talk like that? He is blaspheming. Who can forgive sins but God?’ Jesus, inwardly aware that this was what they were thinking, said to them, ‘Why do you have these thoughts in your hearts? Which of these is easier: to say to the paralytic, “Your sins are forgiven” or to say, “Get up, pick up your stretcher and walk”? But to prove to you that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,’ – he turned to the paralytic – ‘I order you: get up, pick up your stretcher, and go off home.’ And the man got up, picked up his stretcher at once and walked out in front of everyone, so that they were all astounded and praised God saying, ‘We have never seen anything like this.’

My God, my Father in heaven how often have I rejected you by my disobedience. Father whenever I refuse to obey your commandments, and refuse to obey Christ, is insubordination. Rejecting Christ over my life, I become a slave and am in bondage. Father make me holy. Give me your Holy Spirit. 

Merciful Jesus I know you will never abandon me. In courage I come before you, forgive me Lord. Heal me Lord. Lord I bring my friends and families before you Lord, bless them and bless all your creatures. Have mercy Lord, forgive us our sins.

Do not take God's mercy for granted

CI: First Reading 1 Samuel 4:1-11  Israel is defeated and the ark of God is captured

It happened at that time that the Philistines mustered to fight Israel and Israel went out to meet them in battle, encamping near Ebenezer while the Philistines were encamped at Aphek. The Philistines drew up their battle line against Israel, the battle was hotly engaged, and Israel was defeated by the Philistines and about four thousand of their army were killed on the field. The troops returned to the camp and the elders of Israel said, ‘Why has the Lord allowed us to be defeated today by the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of our God from Shiloh so that it may come among us and rescue us from the power of our enemies.’’  

So the troops sent to Shiloh and brought away the ark of the Lord of Hosts, he who is seated on the cherubs; the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, came with the ark. When the ark of the Lord arrived in the camp, all Israel gave a great shout so that the earth resounded. When the Philistines heard the noise of the shouting, they said, ‘What can this great shouting in the Hebrew camp mean?’ And they realised that the ark of the Lord had come into the camp.

 At this the Philistines were afraid; and they said, ‘God has come to the camp.’  ‘Alas!’ they cried ‘This has never happened before. Alas! Who will save us from the power of this mighty God? It was he who struck down Egypt with every kind of plague! But take courage and be men, Philistines, or you will become slaves to the Hebrews as they have been slaves to you. Be men and fight.’

So the Philistines joined battle and Israel was defeated, each man fleeing to his tent. The slaughter was great indeed, and there fell of the Israelites thirty thousand foot soldiers. The ark of God was captured too, and the two sons of Eli died, Hophni and Phinehas.

Gospel Mark 1:40-45 The leprosy left the man at once, and he was cured

CDR: A leper came to Jesus and pleaded on his knees: ‘If you want to’ he said ‘you can cure me.’ Feeling sorry for him, Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him. ‘Of course I want to!’ he said. ‘Be cured!’ And the leprosy left him at once and he was cured. Jesus immediately sent him away and sternly ordered him, ‘Mind you say nothing to anyone, but go and show yourself to the priest, and make the offering for your healing prescribed by Moses as evidence of your recovery.’ The man went away, but then started talking about it freely and telling the story everywhere, so that Jesus could no longer go openly into any town, but had to stay outside in places where nobody lived. Even so, people from all around would come to him.

Lord take away my shame. Take away my reproach among your creatures. Heal me from all infirmity and leprosy. Merciful Lord you touched the leper and became unclean. You stayed away from the crowd. You went to a lonely place from the crowed because the law is that touching a leper makes one unclean. The people came you to be cleansed, for healing and for restoration for they know you are sinless, you are Holy, you are pure.

Lord in your mercy you took my place that I be cleansed. Give me grace to live a pure life may I never take the grace, and mercy of God for granted.

Jesus I trust in you. Virgin Mary pray for me. Saint Joseph pray for me. God’s Angels and Saints pray for me. My Guardian Angel pray for me.

Ne prenez pas la miséricorde de dieu pour sottise

EC: Première Lecture 1Smuel 4,1-11  « Israël fut battu et l’arche de Dieu fut prise »

En ces jours-là, Israël sortit pour aller combattre les Philistins. Israël campa près d’Ébène-Ézèr, tandis que les Philistins étaient campés à Apheq. Les Philistins se déployèrent contre Israël, et le combat s’engagea. Dans cette bataille rangée en rase campagne, Israël fut battu par les Philistins, qui tuèrent environ quatre mille hommes, et le peuple revint au camp. Les anciens d’Israël dirent alors : « Pourquoi le Seigneur nous a-t-il fait battre aujourd’hui par les Philistins ? Allons prendre à Silo l’arche de l’Alliance du Seigneur ; qu’elle vienne au milieu de nous, et qu’elle nous sauve de la main de nos ennemis. » 

Le peuple envoya des gens à Silo ; ils en rapportèrent l’arche de l’Alliance du Seigneur des armées qui siège sur les Kéroubim. Les deux fils du prêtre Éli, Hofni et Pinhas, étaient là auprès de l’arche de Dieu. Quand l’Arche arriva au camp, tout Israël poussa une grande ovation qui fit résonner la terre. Les Philistins entendirent le bruit et dirent : « Que signifie cette grande ovation dans le camp des Hébreux ? » Ils comprirent alors que l’arche du Seigneur était arrivée dans le camp. 

Alors ils eurent peur, car ils se disaient : « Dieu est arrivé au camp des Hébreux. » Puis ils dirent : « Malheur à nous ! Les choses ont bien changé depuis hier. Malheur à nous !  Qui nous délivrera de la main de ces dieux puissants ? Ce sont eux qui ont frappé les Égyptiens de toutes sortes de calamités dans le désert. Soyez forts, Philistins, soyez des hommes courageux, pour ne pas être asservis aux Hébreux comme ils vous ont été asservis : soyez courageux et combattez ! » 

Les Philistins livrèrent bataille, Israël fut battu et chacun s’enfuit à ses tentes. Ce fut un très grand désastre : en Israël trente mille soldats tombèrent. L’arche de Dieu fut prise, et les deux fils d’Éli, Hofni et Pinhas, moururent.

Psaume : Sauve-nous, Seigneur, par ton amour: PEE

Évangile Marc 1, 40-45 « La lèpre le quitta et il fut purifié »

RC: En ce temps-là, un lépreux vint auprès de Jésus ; il le supplia et, tombant à ses genoux, lui dit : « Si tu le veux, tu peux me purifier. » Saisi de compassion, Jésus étendit la main, le toucha et lui dit : « Je le veux, sois purifié. » À l’instant même, la lèpre le quitta et il fut purifié. Avec fermeté, Jésus le renvoya aussitôt en lui disant : « Attention, ne dis rien à personne, mais va te montrer au prêtre, et donne pour ta purification ce que Moïse a prescrit dans la Loi : cela sera pour les gens un témoignage. » Une fois parti, cet homme se mit à proclamer et à répandre la nouvelle, de sorte que Jésus ne pouvait plus entrer ouvertement dans une ville, mais restait à l’écart, dans des endroits déserts. De partout cependant on venait à lui.

Seigneur, enlève ma honte. Ôtez mon opprobre parmi tes créatures. Guéris-moi de toute infirmité et de toute lèpre. Seigneur miséricordieux, tu as touché le lépreux et tu es devenu impur. Tu restais à l’écart, dans des endroits déserts à l’écart de la foule. Tu es allé dans un endroit isolé de la foule parce que la loi dit que toucher un lépreux rend quelqu’un impur. Les gens sont venus pour être purifiés, pour la guérison et pour la restauration, car ils savent que tu es pur sans péché, ils savent que tu es Saint.  

Seigneur, dans ta miséricorde, tu as pris ma place pour que je sois purifié. Donne-moi la grâce de vivre une vie pure, pour ne jamais prendre la grâce et la miséricorde de Dieu pour mon avantage.

Jésus, j’ai confiance en toi. Vierge Marie, priez pour moi. Saint Joseph, priez pour moi. Les anges et les saints de Dieu prient pour moi. Mon Ange Gardien prie pour moi.

Priez le Saint Rosaire. Je vous salue Marie pleine de grâce.

MERCREDI 1ERE SEMAINE DU TEMPS ORDINAIRE: AELF

 « Me voici ! »

EC: Première Lecture 1 Samuel 3,1-10.19-20  « Parle, Seigneur, ton serviteur écoute »  

En ces jours-là, le jeune Samuel assurait le service du Seigneur en présence du prêtre Éli. La parole du Seigneur était rare en ces jours-là, et la vision, peu répandue. Un jour, Éli était couché à sa place habituelle – sa vue avait baissé et il ne pouvait plus bien voir. La lampe de Dieu n’était pas encore éteinte. Samuel était couché dans le temple du Seigneur, où se trouvait l’arche de Dieu. Le Seigneur appela Samuel, qui répondit : « Me voici ! » Il courut vers le prêtre Éli, et il dit : « Tu m’as appelé, me voici. » Éli répondit : « Je n’ai pas appelé. Retourne te coucher. » L’enfant alla se coucher. De nouveau, le Seigneur appela Samuel. Et Samuel se leva. Il alla auprès d’Éli, et il dit : « Tu m’as appelé, me voici. » Éli répondit : « Je n’ai pas appelé, mon fils. Retourne te coucher. » Samuel ne connaissait pas encore le Seigneur, et la parole du Seigneur ne lui avait pas encore été révélée. De nouveau, le Seigneur appela Samuel. Celui-ci se leva. Il alla auprès d’Éli, et il dit : « Tu m’as appelé, me voici. » Alors Éli comprit que c’était le Seigneur qui appelait l’enfant, et il lui dit : « Va te recoucher, et s’il t’appelle, tu diras : “Parle, Seigneur, ton serviteur écoute.” »

Samuel alla se recoucher à sa place habituelle. Le Seigneur vint, il se tenait là et il appela comme les autres fois : « Samuel ! Samuel ! » Et Samuel répondit : « Parle, ton serviteur écoute. » Samuel grandit. Le Seigneur était avec lui, et il ne laissa aucune de ses paroles sans effet. Tout Israël, depuis Dane jusqu’à Bershéba, reconnut que Samuel était vraiment un prophète du Seigneur.

Psaume: Me voici, Seigneur, je viens faire ta volonté: PEE

Évangile  Marc 1, 29-39 « Il guérit beaucoup de gens atteints de toutes sortes de maladies 

RC: En ce temps-là, aussitôt sortis de la synagogue de Capharnaüm, Jésus et ses disciples allèrent, avec Jacques et Jean, dans la maison de Simon et d’André. Or, la belle-mère de Simon était au lit, elle avait de la fièvre. Aussitôt, on parla à Jésus de la malade. Jésus s’approcha, la saisit par la main et la fit lever. La fièvre la quitta, et elle les servait. Le soir venu, après le coucher du soleil, on lui amenait tous ceux qui étaient atteints d’un mal ou possédés par des démons.

La ville entière se pressait à la porte. Il guérit beaucoup de gens atteints de toutes sortes de maladies, et il expulsa beaucoup de démons ; il empêchait les démons de parler, parce qu’ils savaient, eux, qui il était. Le lendemain, Jésus se leva, bien avant l’aube.

Il sortit et se rendit dans un endroit désert, et là il priait. Simon et ceux qui étaient avec lui partirent à sa recherche. Ils le trouvent et lui disent : « Tout le monde te cherche. » Jésus leur dit : « Allons ailleurs, dans les villages voisins, afin que là aussi je proclame l’Évangile ; car c’est pour cela que je suis sorti. » Et il parcourut toute la Galilée, proclamant l’Évangile dans leurs synagogues, et expulsant les démons.

Père bien-aimé, je n’ai aucune connaissance de ta parole. Père, révèle-toi à moi. Le mystère de ta parole est au-delà de la compréhension humaine. Père, envoie-moi ton Saint-Esprit pour m’enseigner et me faire comprendre tes paroles. Chaque jour, chaque instant j’entends ta voix, mais je fais de mauvais choix parce que je ne peux pas discerner ta douce voix. Me voici Seigneur. Parle, ton serviteur écoute.  Viens, révèle-toi à moi.

Seigneur Jésus, j’ai confiance en toi. Jésus, mon Maître, je suis à ta recherche. Ne m’abandonne pas, mon Seigneur et mon Rédempteur. Vierge Marie, priez pour moi. Amenez-moi à votre Fils Jésus-Christ. Saint Joseph, priez pour moi. Les anges et les saints de Dieu prient pour moi. Mon Ange Gardien prie pour moi.

Priez le Saint Rosaire. Je vous salue, Sainte Reine. Je vous salue Marie pleine de grâce.

'Here I am'

CI: First Reading 1 Samuel 3:1-10, 19-20 'Speak, Lord, your servant is listening'

The boy Samuel was ministering to the Lord in the presence of Eli; it was rare for the Lord to speak in those days; visions were uncommon. One day, it happened that Eli was lying down in his room. His eyes were beginning to grow dim; he could no longer see. The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying in the sanctuary of the Lord where the ark of God was, when the Lord called, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ He answered, ‘Here I am.’ Then he ran to Eli and said, ‘Here I am, since you called me.’ Eli said, ‘I did not call. Go back and lie down.’ So he went and lay down. Once again the Lord called, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, ‘Here I am, since you called me.’ He replied, ‘I did not call you, my son; go back and lie down.’ Samuel had as yet no knowledge of the Lord and the word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him. Once again the Lord called, the third time. He got up and went to Eli and said, ‘Here I am, since you called me.’ Eli then understood that it was the Lord who was calling the boy, and he said to Samuel, ‘Go and lie down, and if someone calls say, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.”’ So Samuel went and lay down in his place. 

The Lord then came and stood by, calling as he had done before, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ Samuel answered, ‘Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.’ 

Samuel grew up and the Lord was with him and let no word of his fall to the ground. All Israel from Dan to Beersheba came to know that Samuel was accredited as a prophet of the Lord.

Gospel Mark 1:29-39 He cast out devils and cured many who were suffering from disease

CDR: On leaving the synagogue, Jesus went with James and John straight to the house of Simon and Andrew. Now Simon’s mother-in-law had gone to bed with fever, and they told him about her straightaway. He went to her, took her by the hand and helped her up. And the fever left her and she began to wait on them. 

That evening, after sunset, they brought to him all who were sick and those who were possessed by devils. The whole town came crowding round the door, and he cured many who were suffering from diseases of one kind or another; he also cast out many devils, but he would not allow them to speak, because they knew who he was. 

In the morning, long before dawn, he got up and left the house, and went off to a lonely place and prayed there. Simon and his companions set out in search of him, and when they found him they said, ‘Everybody is looking for you.’ He answered, ‘Let us go elsewhere, to the neighbouring country towns, so that I can preach there too, because that is why I came.’ And he went all through Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out devils. 

Loving Father, I have no knowledge of your word. Father reveal yourself to me.  The mystery of your word is beyond human comprehension. Father send me your Holy Spirit to teach me and make me understand your words. Each day, each moment your voice speaks to me, yet I make wrong choices because I cannot discern your gentle voice.  Here I am Lord. Speak, your servant is listening. Come reveal yourself to me. 

Lord Jesus I trust in you. Jesus my Master I am in search of you. Do not abandon me my Lord and Redeemer. Virgin Mary pray for me. Bring me to your Son Jesus Christ. Saint Joseph pray for me. God’s Angels and Saints pray for me. My Guardian Angel pray for me.

LE SAINT DE DIEU

MARDI 9 2EME SEMAINE DU TEMPS ORDINAIRE: AELF

« Je l’ai demandé au Seigneur. »

Première Lecture 1 Samuel 1,9-20

EC: « Le Seigneur se souvint d’Anne, et elle enfanta Samuel »

En ces jours-là, Anne se leva, après qu’ils eurent mangé et bu à Silo. Le prêtre Éli était assis sur son siège, à l’entrée du sanctuaire du Seigneur. Anne, pleine d’amertume, se mit à prier le Seigneur et pleura abondamment. Elle fit un vœu en disant : « Seigneur de l’univers ! Si tu veux bien regarder l’humiliation de ta servante, te souvenir de moi, ne pas m’oublier, et me donner un fils, je le donnerai au Seigneur pour toute sa vie, et le rasoir ne passera pas sur sa tête. » 

Tandis qu’elle prolongeait sa prière devant le Seigneur, Éli observait sa bouche. Anne parlait dans son cœur : seules ses lèvres remuaient, et l’on n’entendait pas sa voix. Éli pensa qu’elle était ivre et lui dit : « Combien de temps vas-tu rester ivre ? Cuve donc ton vin ! » Anne répondit : « Non, mon seigneur, je ne suis qu’une femme affligée, je n’ai bu ni vin ni boisson forte ; j’épanche mon âme devant le Seigneur. Ne prends pas ta servante pour une vaurienne : c’est l’excès de mon chagrin et de mon dépit qui m’a fait prier aussi longtemps. » Éli lui répondit : « Va en paix, et que le Dieu d’Israël t’accorde ce que tu lui as demandé. » Anne dit alors : « Que ta servante trouve grâce devant toi ! » Elle s’en alla, elle se mit à manger, et son visage n’était plus le même. Le lendemain, Elcana et les siens se levèrent de bon matin. 

Après s’être prosternés devant le Seigneur, ils s’en retournèrent chez eux, à Rama. Elcana s’unit à Anne sa femme, et le Seigneur se souvint d’elle. Anne conçut et, le temps venu, elle enfanta un fils ; elle lui donna le nom de Samuel (c’est-à-dire : Dieu exauce) car, disait-elle, « Je l’ai demandé au Seigneur. »

Psaume: Mon cœur exulte à cause du Seigneur : il donne le salut.

 

Évangile selon saint Marc 1, 21-28 « Il enseignait en homme qui a autorité »

RC: Jésus et ses disciples entrèrent à Capharnaüm. Aussitôt, le jour du sabbat, il se rendit à la synagogue, et là, il enseignait. On était frappé par son enseignement, car il enseignait en homme qui a autorité, et non pas comme les scribes. Or, il y avait dans leur synagogue un homme tourmenté par un esprit impur, qui se mit à crier : « Que nous veux-tu, Jésus de Nazareth ? Es-tu venu pour nous perdre ? Je sais qui tu es : tu es le Saint de Dieu. » Jésus l’interpella vivement : « Tais-toi ! Sors de cet homme. » L’esprit impur le fit entrer en convulsions, puis, poussant un grand cri, sortit de lui.

Ils furent tous frappés de stupeur et se demandaient entre eux : « Qu’est-ce que cela veut dire ? Voilà un enseignement nouveau, donné avec autorité ! Il commande même aux esprits impurs, et ils lui obéissent. » Sa renommée se répandit aussitôt partout, dans toute la région de la Galilée.

Mon Dieu, mon Père aimant, je suis affligé. J’épanche mon âme devant toi, Seigneur. Je sais que vous entendrez mon plaidoyer pendant que je parle au fond de mon chagrin et de mon ressentiment. Père, donne-moi la paix et exauce mon désir. Toi seul connais le secret de mon cœur. Toi seul, Père, connais le chagrin de mon cœur, enlève tous les obstacles que je rencontre. Console-moi, Père. Viens à mon aide, mon Dieu, car je me sens abattu. Père réjouit mon cœur.

Jésus  tu es le Saint de Dieu, j’ai confiance en toi. Vierge Marie, priez pour moi. Saint Joseph, priez pour moi. Les anges et les saints de Dieu prient pour moi. Mon Ange Gardien prie pour moi.

‘I asked the Lord for him.’

CI: First Reading 1 Samuel 1:9-20

The Lord is mindful of Hannah and she gives birth to Samuel

After they had eaten in the hall, Hannah rose and took her stand before the Lord, while Eli the priest was sitting on his seat by the doorpost of the temple of the Lord. In the bitterness of her soul she prayed to the Lord with many tears and made a vow, saying, ‘O Lord of Hosts! If you will take notice of the distress of your servant, and bear me in mind and not forget your servant and give her a man-child, I will give him to the Lord for the whole of his life and no razor shall ever touch his head.’ 

While she prayed before the Lord which she did for some time, Eli was watching her mouth, for she was speaking under her breath; her lips were moving but her voice could not be heard. He therefore supposed that she was drunk and said to her, ‘How long are you going to be in this drunken state? Rid yourself of your wine.’ ‘No, my lord,’ Hannah replied ‘I am a woman in great trouble; I have taken neither wine nor strong drink – I was pouring out my soul before the Lord. Do not take your maidservant for a worthless woman; all this time I have been speaking from the depth of my grief and my resentment.’ Then Eli answered her: ‘Go in peace,’ he said ‘and may the God of Israel grant what you have asked of him.’ And she said, ‘May your maidservant find favour in your sight’; and with that the woman went away; she returned to the hall and ate and was dejected no longer. 

They rose early in the morning and worshipped before the Lord and then set out and returned to their home in Ramah. Elkanah had intercourse with Hannah his wife and the Lord was mindful of her. She conceived and gave birth to a son, and called him Samuel ‘since’ she said ‘I asked the Lord for him.’

Responsorial Psalm: My heart exults in the Lord.

Gospel Mark 1:21-28 Unlike the scribes, he taught them with authority

CDR: Jesus and his disciples went as far as Capernaum, and as soon as the sabbath came he went to the synagogue and began to teach. And his teaching made a deep impression on them because, unlike the scribes, he taught them with authority. 

In their synagogue just then there was a man possessed by an unclean spirit and it shouted, ‘What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God.’ But Jesus said sharply, ‘Be quiet! Come out of him!’ And the unclean spirit threw the man into convulsions and with a loud cry went out of him. The people were so astonished that they started asking each other what it all meant. ‘Here is a teaching that is new’ they said ‘and with authority behind it: he gives orders even to unclean spirits and they obey him.’ And his reputation rapidly spread everywhere, through all the surrounding Galilean countryside. 

My God, my loving Father I am in great trouble. I pour out my soul before you Lord. I know you will hear my plea as I speak from the depth of my grief and my resentment. Father give me in peace and grant my desire. You alone know the secret of my heart. You alone Father know the grief in my heart, remove every obstacle I am facing. Give me comfort Father. Come to my help my God for I feel dejected. Father gladden my heart. 

Jesus you are the Holy One of God I trust in you. Virgin Mary pray for me. Saint Joseph pray for me. God’s Angels and Saints pray for me. My Guardian Angel pray for me.
