GLORIALITURGY

As we celebrate and offer our daily offerings in our daily Mass on God's Altar in remembrance of Christ Sacrifice, may God destroy every evil altar in our homes, families and lives.

CONFIDENCE IN THE LORD

Look on me, Lord and help me.

Look on me, Lord and help me.

Confidence in the Lord.

My eyes are always on the Lord, for he rescues my feet from the snare.
Turn to me and have mercy on me for I am alone and poor.

Relieve the anguish of my heart, and set me free from my distress.
See my lowliness and suffering, and take away all my sins.

See how many my foes are: with a violent hatred they hate me.
Preserve my life and rescue me.
Let me not be put to shame, for in you I trust.

May integrity and virtue protect me, for I have hoped in you, O Lord.

26TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR C

SUNDAY WEEK II

Invitatory:           Lord, open my lips

O God come to my assistance. Lord make haste to help me.

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning,
is now and ever shall be, world without end. Alleluia

Ant.     Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, alleluia

Psalm118             A song of victory

Give thanks to the Lord, for His good, his mercy endures for ever.
Let the house of Israel say, His mercy endures for ever.
Let the house of Aaron say, His mercy endures for ever.
Let those who fear the Lord say, His mercy endures for ever.

I called to the Lord in my distress, he has answered and freed me.
The Lord is at my side; I do not fear. What can man do against me?
The Lord is at my side as my helper, I shall look in triumph on my foes.

It is better to take refuge in the LORD, than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD, than to trust in princes………

Ant. 2     Let us sing hymns of praise to our God, alleluia

Cant. Daniel 3:52-57

Blest are you, O Lord, the God of our fathers, to be praised and highly exalted for ever.
Blest is your glorious and holy name, to be highly praised and exalted for ever.

Blest are you in the temple of your holy glory, to be highly praised and exalted for ever.
Blest are you in the throne of your kingdom, to be praised and highly exalted for ever.

Blest are you who look into the depths, seated upon the cherubim,
to be praised and highly exalted for ever…..

Ant. 3     Praise the Lord for his infinite greatness, alleluia

Praise the Lord in his holy place, praise him in his mighty firmament.
Praise him for his powerful deeds, praise him for his boundless splendour.

O praise him with sound of trumpet, praise him with lute and harps.
Praise him with timbrel and dance, praise him with strings and pipes

O praise him resounding cymbals, praise him with clashing of cymbals.
Let everything that breathes praise the Lord.

Prayer  Father, you show your almighty power in your mercy and forgiveness.  Continue to fill us  with your gifts of love.  Help us to hurry towards the eternal life you promise and come to share in the joys of your kingdom.  Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Prayer  Father of everlasting goodness, our origin and guide, be close to us and hear our prayer of all who praise you.  Forgive our sins and restore us to life. Keep us safe in your love. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Evening Prayer Let your Word, Father be a lamp for our feet and a light to our path, so that we may understand what you wish to teach us and follow the path your light marks out for us.
