Psalm 149
Sing a new song to the Lord, his praise in the assembly of the faithful.
Let Israel rejoice in its Maker, let Zion’s children exult in their
king.
Let them praise his name with dancing, and make music with timbrel and
harp.
For the Lord takes delight in his people, he crowns the poor with
salvation.
Let the faithful rejoice in glory, shout with joy on their couches.
Let the praise of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their
hand.
Chantez pour le Seigneur un chant nouveau:

Qu’Israël se réjouisse de son Auteur, que

Car le Seigneur favorise son peuple, il
pare de victoire les humbles.
Que les fidèles exultent en rendant

Exaltant Dieu a pleine gosier, tenant en
main l’épée a deux tranchants.
Tirer vengeance des nations et châtier les
peuples, enchainer leur rois,
exécuter contre eux la sentence écrite,
c’est l’honneur de tous ses fidèles !

56:7
I will bring them to my holy mountain and make them
joyful in my house of prayer; their holocausts and sacrifices will be acceptable
on my altar, for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.
Je les amènerai sur ma montagne sainte, Et je les réjouirai dans ma maison
de prière; leurs holocaustes et leurs sacrifices seront agréés sur mon autel;
Car ma maison sera appelée une maison de prière pour tous les peuples. Isaiah 56:7

Intercession: We are the living stones, laid upon the
cornerstone that is Christ. Let us pray
to our all-powerful
Father
for his Son’s beloved Church, professing our faith in her as we say.
Response: This is the house of God and the gate
of heaven
Ø Father, like the farmer, prune your vineyard, protect
it and increase its yield, until it extends you throughout the world.
Ø External shepherd, protect and increase your flock,
that all the sheep may be gathered into one flock under your Son, the one
shepherd.
Ø All-powerful sower, plant the word in your field, that
it may yield a hundredfold for your eternal harvest.
Ø Wise builder, sanctify your home and your family, that
the heavenly city, the new Jerusalem, your spouse, may appear before all your
glorious Bride.
Prayer: God our Father, from living stones, your chosen people, you built
an eternal temple to your glory.
Increase the spiritual gifts you have given to your Church that your
faithful people may continue to grow into the new and eternal Jerusalem. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
your Son, who lives and reigns with you and Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and
ever.
