First Reading Num. 6:22-27

They are to call down my name on the sons of Israel, and I will bless them

The Lord said to Moses: «Speak to Aaron and his sons and tell them: This is how you shall bless the Israelites. Say to them: The Lord bless you and keep you! The Lord let his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you! The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace! So shall they invoke my name upon the Israelites, and I will bless them».

Second Reading  Gal. 4:4-7 God sent his Son, born of a woman

When the appointed time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born a subject of the Law, to redeem the subjects of the Law and to enable us to be adopted as sons. The proof that you are sons is that God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts: the Spirit that cries, ‘Abba, Father’, and it is this that makes you a son, you are not a slave any more; and if God has made you son, then he has made you heir.

Luke 2:16-21 The shepherds hurried to Bethlehem and found the baby lying in the manger

The shepherds went in haste to Bethlehem and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. When they saw this, they made known the message that had been told them about this child. All who heard it were amazed by what had been told them by the shepherds. And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them. When eight days were completed for his circumcision, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

Évangile Luc 2,16-21   « Les bergers allèrent en hâte  à Bethléem, 

et ils trouvèrent le petit enfant couché dans la mangeoire »

Les bergers y allèrent en hâte, et ils trouvèrent Marie et Joseph, et le petit enfant couché dans la crèche. Après l'avoir vu, ils racontèrent ce qui leur avait été dit au sujet de ce petit Enfant. Tous ceux qui les entendirent furent dans l'étonnement de ce que leur disaient les bergers. Marie gardait toutes ces choses, et les repassait dans son coeur. Et les bergers s'en retournèrent, glorifiant et louant Dieu pour tout ce qu'ils avaient entendu et vu, et qui était conforme à ce qui leur avait été annoncé. Le huitième jour, auquel l'enfant devait être circoncis, étant arrivé, on lui donna le nom de Jésus, nom qu'avait indiqué l'ange avant qu'il fût conçu dans le sein de sa mère.

God be gracious and bless us. Jesus I trust in you. Mother of God pray for me. Saint Joseph pray for me. My Angel Guardian pray for me.

Hail Mary full of grace. Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother.

 

Dieu bénissez-nous et, ayez pitié de nous. Jésus, j'ai confiance en vous. Mère de Dieu, priez pour moi. Saint Joseph, priez pour moi. Mon Ange Gardien, priez pour moi.

Je vous salue Marie, pleine de grâce. Souvenez-vous, ô Vierge Marie on n‘a jamais entendu qu’aucun de ceux qui ont  recours à votre protection, imploré votre secours ou réclamé votre intercession a été laissé sans aide. Inspirée par cette confiance, je me réfugie auprès de vous, ô Vierge des vierges, ma Mère
