O praise the Lord, Jerusalem!

CI: Reading Romans 9:1-5 I would willingly be condemned if it could help my brothers

What I want to say now is no pretence; I say it in union with Christ – it is the truth – my conscience in union with the Holy Spirit assures me of it too. What I want to say is this: my sorrow is so great, my mental anguish so endless, I would willingly be condemned and be cut off from Christ if it could help my brothers of Israel, my own flesh and blood. They were adopted as sons, they were given the glory and the covenants; the Law and the ritual were drawn up for them, and the promises were made to them. They are descended from the patriarchs and from their flesh and blood came Christ who is above all, God for ever blessed! Amen.

Gospel Luke 14L1-6 'Is it against the law to cure a man on the sabbath?

CDR: Now on a sabbath day Jesus had gone for a meal to the house of one of the leading Pharisees; and they watched him closely. There in front of him was a man with dropsy, and Jesus addressed the lawyers and Pharisees. ‘Is it against the law’ he asked ‘to cure a man on the sabbath, or not?’ But they remained silent, so he took the man and cured him and sent him away. Then he said to them, ‘Which of you here, if his son falls into a well, or his ox, will not pull him out on a sabbath day without hesitation?’ And to this they could find no answer.

God my Father may you be blessed for ever. O praise the Lord, Jerusalem. Spirit of God blow afresh on all God's creatures, on every member of the body of Christ our redeemer. Open all eyes to the great inheritance that is ours in Christ Jesus who is above all. Peace be upon Israel. Peace be upon all God's creatures.

Jesus I trust in you. Virgin Mary pray for me. Saint Joseph pray for me. Saint Martin de Porres pray for me. God's Angels and Saints pray for me. My Guardian Angel pray for me. Protect me. Guide me. Loving Father my God grant eternal rest to departed souls, grant pardon to their souls.

Pray the Holy Rosary: Mary Queen of Angels and Saints pray for me.

First Reading 1 John 2:22-28 The anointing he gave you teaches you everything The man who denies that Jesus is the Christ  he is the liar, he is Antichrist; and he is denying the Father as well as the Son, because no one who has the Father can deny the Son, and to acknowledge the Son is to have the Father as well. BE CURED

Prayer before Mass:  Almighty and ever-living God, I approach the sacrament of Your only-begotten Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. I come sick to the doctor of life, unclean to the fountain of mercy, blind to the radiance of eternal light, and poor and needy to the Lord of heaven and earth. Lord, in Your great generosity, heal my sickness, wash away my defilement, enlighten my blindness, enrich my poverty, and clothe my nakedness.
