THE FIERY FURNACE

Let my eyes stream with tears day and night, without rest,
over the great destruction which overwhelms the virgin
daughter or my people, over her incurable wound.

If I walk out into the field, look! those slain by the sword;
if I enter the city, look! those consumed by hunger.

Even the prophet and the priest forage in a land they know not.

Mass Readings 

Heavenly Father, thank you for lavishing the seed of your word in our lives.  Fill us with your Spirit. Father may our lives bear the abundance fruit of righteousness.

Jesus Declares the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares -"Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field."
He said in reply, "He who sows good seed is the Son of Man,
the field is the world, the good seed the children of the Kingdom.
The weeds are the children of the Evil One, and the enemy who sows them is the Devil.
The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

The Son of Man will send his angels, and the will collect out of his Kingdom all who cause others to sin and all evildoers.
They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be
wailing and grinding of teeth.
Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father.
Whoever has ears ought to hear."

First Reading 1 John 2:22-28 The anointing he gave you teaches you everything The man who denies that Jesus is the Christ  he is the liar, he is Antichrist; and he is denying the Father as well as the Son, because no one who has the Father can deny the Son, and to acknowledge the Son is to have the Father as well. BE CURED

Prayer before Mass:  Almighty and ever-living God, I approach the sacrament of Your only-begotten Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. I come sick to the doctor of life, unclean to the fountain of mercy, blind to the radiance of eternal light, and poor and needy to the Lord of heaven and earth. Lord, in Your great generosity, heal my sickness, wash away my defilement, enlighten my blindness, enrich my poverty, and clothe my nakedness. May I receive the Bread of Angels, the King of kings and Lord of lords, with humble reverence, with the purity and faith, the repentance and love, and the determined purpose that will help   to bring me to salvation.  May I receive the sacrament of the Lord’s Body and Blood, and its reality and power.  Kind God, may I receive the Body of Your only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, born from the womb of the Virgin Mary, and so be received into His mystical body and numbered among His members.  Loving Father, as on my earthly pilgrima...
