Is it ok

if I don't join you in heaven

just yet

I want to sing your praise

from here for now

I want to spend my days in prayer

before I join you there

I want to be kind and loving

and forgiving

to my fellow man

I want to be loyal and true

to all the things you taught us

to say and do

I will do all I can

I am a humble man

I will be your disciple here

but when the time is near

please tell me whether

I can join you in heaven

and we can pray for mankind
