32 SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR C

Prayer for Week WEEK IV

O God come to my assistance. Lord make haste to help me.

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Alleluia

Ant. 1     Praise the Lord, for his loving kindness will never fail, alleluia

Psalm 118

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
 his mercy endures for ever.
Let the house of Israel say,
His mercy endures for ever.
Let the house of Aaron say,
His mercy endures for ever.
Let those who fear the Lord say,
His mercy endures for ever.

I called the Lord in my distress;
He has answered and freed me.
The Lord is at my side, I do not fear,
What can man do against me?
The Lord is at my side as my helper,
I shall look in triumph on my foes…..

Ant. 2     Alleluia! Bless the Lord, all you works of the Lord, alleluia!

Blest are you, O Lord, the God of our fathers, to be praised and highly exalted for ever.
Blest is your glorious and holy name, to be highly praised and exalted for ever.
Blest are you in the temple of your glory, to be highly praised and glorified for ever.
Blest are you on the throne of your kingdom, to be praised and highly exalted for ever.
Blest are you who look into the depths, seated upon the cherubim, to be praised,
and highly exalted for ever.
Blest are you in the firmament of heavens, to be praised and highly glorified for ever.
Bless the Lord, all you works of the Lord, praise and highly exalt him for ever.

Ant. 3     Let everything that breathes, gives praise to the Lord, alleluia

Psalm 150

Praise God in his holy place.
Praise him in his mighty firmament.
Praise him for his powerful deeds,
Praise him for his boundless grandeur.

O praise him with sound of trumpet.
Praise him with lute and harp.
Praise him with timbrel and dance.
Praise him with strings and pipes.

O praise him with resounding cymbals,
Praise him with clashing of cymbals,
Let everything that breathes praise the Lord.

Prayer

Almighty Father, strong is your justice and great is your mercy. Protect us in the burdens and challenges of life. Shield our minds from the distortion of pride and enfold our desire with the beauty of truth.  Help us to become more aware of your loving design so that we may more willingly give our lives in service to all.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.
