THE GOLDEN JUBILEE PROJECT
The Golden Jubilee Project
Insurgence, Conflict, War, Terrorism
These women are victims of insurgence and Boko Haram. They were forced to flee their states, homes,
comfort etc.
The Golden Jubilee Birthday Project of Rev. Sister Ann O. Falola of OLA
congregation, Abuja, Nigeria is in an interface project for teenage girls, and
vulnerable women, especially for the Internally Displaced Persons.
The project offers friendship, counseling, mentoring, skill acquisition
to empower women and young girls of which main focus are: bead making, cookery, baking, sewing etc.
The reason I took special interest in these women is their resilience and
dedication despite the condition they found themselves due to insurgency in the
North East, Benue, Jos, and Kaduna. They
are intelligent women endowed with capabilities, and talents.
Hatred, non-acceptance, misunderstanding, self-love, etc are the reasons
for human suffering. Displaced persons
irrespective of countries and race are fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters,
uncles, aunties, husbands, wives, and children.
We are interested in protecting our environment, and the
eco-system. Several meetings/conferences
are held on the need to protect the planet earth.
Why the waste of human lives, the pain, the suffering and destruction. In
the picture are women of Rev. Sr. Anne Falola ‘s Golden Jubilee Project. Her e-mail is yemifalola@gmail.com
Thursday 5th May is the Feast of Ascension of Christ Jesus who offered himself as a sacrifice to save humanity.
‘‘If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ
is seated at the right hand of God. Think of what is above, not what is on
earth’’ Col. 3:1-2
