PRAYER AND REFLECTION

God of Justice

God never twist justice, he never fails to do what is right.

Your children must have sinned against God,

and so he punished them as they deserved.

But turn now and plead with Almighty God.

If you are so honest and pure, then God will help you,

and restore your household as your reward.

All the wealth you lost will be nothing compared

with what God will give you then.

Look for a moment at ancient wisdom,

consider the truth our ancestors learnt.

Our life is short, we knew nothing at all,

we pass like shadows across the earth.

But let the wise ancestors teach you,

Listen to what they say……….

Prayer of Confession

You, Lord, you alone are Lord,

You made the heavens and the stars of the sky.

You made land and sea and everything in them.

You give life to all.

The heavenly powers bow down and worship you.

You, Lord God, chose Abram and led him out of Ur in Babylonia.

You changed his name to Abraham.

You found that he was faithful to you,

and you made a covenant with him….

Nehemiah 9:6-37

God is faithful he keeps his covenant

Prayer before Mass: Almighty and ever-living God, I approach the sacrament of Your only-begotten Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. I come sick to the doctor of life, unclean to the fountain of mercy, blind to the radiance of eternal light, and poor and needy to the Lord of heaven and earth. Lord, in Your great generosity, heal my sickness, wash away my defilement, enlighten my blindness, enrich my poverty, and clothe my nakedness.
