4TH SUNDAY OF ADVENT

The sceptre shall never depart from Judah, or the mace from between his legs, while tribute is brought to him, and he receives the people's homage.  Genesis 49:10

Your light will come, Jerusalem, the Lord will dawn on you in radiant beauty.

Behold the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will raise up a righteous shoot of David; as king he shall reign and govern wisely, he shall do what is just and right in the Land.  Jeremiah 23:5

We wait for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.  He will keep us firm to the end, irreproachable on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.  God is faithful, and by him we were called to fellowship with his Son. 1 Cor. 1:7-9

Prayer

Our Redeemer and Lord, by your birth as a man you freed us from the heavy yoke of the law, complete in us the works of your loving kindness.

Fourth Sunday of Advent before Christmas.  We pray for peace in our world, love, consideration, respect, unity, and God's Holy will be done on earth as it is in HEAVEN.
