Remember, o most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, o Virgin of virgins, and my mother.
To thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
At the presentation of our Lord Jesus, Simeon took the the child in his arms gave thanks to God and predicted the child's destiny, and equally told Mary that because of the Child that a SWORD will pierce through her heart so that the thought of many will be revealed.
Jesus side was pierced at the foot of the cross, close to his heart.
