ALL EXISTENCE COMES FROM GOD

Saint Charles B.
How lovely is your dwelling place O LORD

How rich are the depths of God;
how deep his wisdom and knowledge;
and how impossible to penetrate his motives
or understand his methods!
Who could ever know the mind of the Lord?
Who could ever be his counsellor?
Who could ever give him anything or lend him anything?
All that exists comes from him; all is by him and for him.
To him be glory for ever Amen. Mass Readings

Loving Father all things comes from you, you are the Alpha and Omega.
May all glory be yours now and for ever. Amen.

GOD OF THE UNIVERSE

Before the Lord  the whole universe is as a grain from a balance or a drop
of morning dew come down upon the earth.
But you have mercy on all, because you can do all things; and you overlook
people's sin that they may repent.
For you love all things that are and loath nothing that you have made;
for what you hated, you would not have fashioned.
And now could a thing remain, unless you willed it;
or be preserved had it not been called forth by you?
But you spare all things, because they are yours,
O LORD and lover of souls, for your imperishable spirit is in all things!

LET US PRAY FOR DEPARTED SOULS

We pray for the souls of the departed.
Our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters,
relatives, friends, wandering souls,
souls of aborted children, souls of
murdered children, souls of those
that died in accidents, disasters,
wars, conflicts, etc.
Readings
The souls of the just are in the hand of God,
and no torment shall touch them.
They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead;
and their passing away was thought an affliction
and their going forth from us, utter destruction.
But they are in peace.
For if before men, indeed, they be punished,
yet is their hop full of immortality;
chastised a little, they shall be greatly blessed,
because God tried them and found them worthy of himself.

ALL SAINTS

I, John, saw another angel come up from the East,
holding the seal of the living God.
He cried out in a loud voice to the four
angels who were given power to damage the
land and the sea,
"Do not damage the land or the sea or the
trees until we put the seal on the foreheads of
the servants of our God."
I heard the number of those who had been marked
with the seal, one hundred and forty-four thousand
marked from every tribe of the children of Israel...

THE FATHER'S LOVE FOR US

Brothers and sisters:
If God is for us, who can be against us?
He did not spare his own Son but handed
him over for us all,
how will he not also give us everything else
along with him?
Who will bring a charge against God's chosen
ones?  It is he who acquits us.
Who will condemn?
It is Christ Jesus who died, rather, was raised,
who also is at the right hand of God,
who indeed intercedes for us.
What will separate us from the love of Christ?
Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine,
or nakedness, or peril, or the sword?
As it is written:
For your sake we are being slain all the day;
we are looked upon as sheep to be slaughtered.
No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly
through him who loved us..... Readings

PRAYING IN SPIRIT

The Spirit comes to help us in our weakness. For when we cannot choose words in order to pray properly, the Spirit himself expresses our plea in a way that could never be put into words, and
God who knows everything in our hearts knows perfectly well what he
means, and that the pleas of the saints expressed by the Spirit are
according to the mind of God.

We know that by turning everything to their good God co-operates with all those who love him, with all those that  he has called according to his purpose.
They are  the ones he chose specially long ago and intended to become true
images of his Son, so that his Son might be the eldest of many brothers.

He called those he intended for this, those he called he justified, and with those he justified he shared his glory.

My prayer Psalm 142
My Father in heaven, thank you for your Holy Spirit my teacher.  Father you know everything
in my heart, I turn everything to you Father.  You called me according to your purpose, and
You justified me by Your calling to share in Your glory. Thank You Father for this priviledge.

GOD THE IMPARTIAL JUDGE

The Lord is a judge who is no respecter of personages.
He who shows no respect of personages to the detriment
of a poor man, he listens to the plea of the injured party.
He does not ignore the orphan's supplication, nor the
widow's as she pours out her story.
The man who with his whole heart serves God will
be accepted, his petitions will carry to the clouds.
The humble man's prayer pierces the clouds, until
it arrives he is inconsolable, and the Lord will not be slow.......
